Monday's Ripple

Yesterday was the calm before the storm:

Woman accusing Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault comes forward

I never thought anything would make me feel sorry for the guy, but Kavanaugh is now getting the Anita Hill treatment from the Globe.

His accuser is a 51-year-old research psychologist in Northern Californian and professor at Palo Alto University who teaches in a consortium with Stanford University, training graduate students in clinical psychology whose work has been published in academic journals, and she is a registered Democrat who engaged Debra Katz, a Washington lawyer known for her work on sexual harassment cases, and she allegedly took a polygraph test administered by a former FBI agent that we are told she passed.

She told no one of the incident in any detail until 2012, when she was in couples therapy with her husband. The therapist’s notes, portions of which were provided by her and reviewed by The Washington Post, do not mention Kavanaugh’s name but say she reported that she was attacked by students ‘‘from an elitist boys’ school’’ who went on to become ‘‘high-ranking members of society in Washington.’’

I'm told he is now a potential rapist and murderer, and there was concern then that Kavanaugh might one day be nominated to the Supreme Court and she now feels that her “civic responsibility outweighs her anguish and terror about retaliation.’’

Related2 Republicans want Brett Kavanaugh vote delayed

They are Flake, no friend of Trump, and Corker, also no friend of Trump.

So they torpedoed the nomination and they won't have to face voters in November, either.

How artful.

After allegations of theft at Winchester church, a youth minister asked questions.

He reported it to the police and the FBI and the Catholic church fired him for it.

Thank God it was just theft and not sexual abuse.

White House, GOP get grim warnings from pollster on Nov. elections

Their Senate majority is also in peril — a scenario that was unthinkable a few months ago — but they still have the edge, and who cares when the president's life has been threatened?

Kerry is criticized for saying Trump has ‘insecurity of a teenage girl’

He was on HBO’s ‘‘Real Time with Bill Maher’’ to promote his memoir, and he's in trouble for being sexist against teenage girls. With his attitude, one wonders if he knows about the elite pedo rings or if he even participated in them, the old Skull-and-Boneser.
