Slow Saturday Special: Moment of Silence

"One person died and another was seriously injured when an SUV rolled over on the ramp from Interstate 91 south to Route 2 east in Greenfield, State Police said Friday. The victim of the single-vehicle crash about 10 p.m. Thursday was identified as Lawrence Jubb, 54, of Greenfield. Jubb, who was the driver and who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the Chevrolet Tahoe and pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. The passenger, a 20-year-old Hatfield man, also was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Franklin Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. A preliminary investigation indicated that speed was a factor in the crash (AP)."

Yeah, the local paper is all over the story and the guy was something of a local icon. His company did some work for me, and he took me as a fair and decent man. Can't blame God for wanting to call him home.

I'm going to take a few moments and stop working now.
