"Afghan War Conditions 'Deteriorating,' Mullen Says; Joint Chiefs Chairman Expresses Concern About Declining Support for War in U.S." by Karen DeYoung, Washington Post | August 24, 2009

Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Adm. Mike Mullen.... expressed concern over recent opinion polls indicating that for the first time a majority of Americans do not think the war in Afghanistan is worth fighting.

Oh, DO THEY EVER NEED ANOTHER FALSE-FLAG "TERROR" attack!!!!!

See: Slow Saturday Special: American People Are Antiwar

Watch: Obama's False Flag - Waiting In The Wings

President Obama has described the conflict in Afghanistan and Pakistan as the central front against international terrorism and has pledged to give it all necessary resources.

With violence again on the rise in Iraq, Obama faces pressure from the public and within the Democratic Party to provide a fuller explanation of his Afghanistan strategy. Support for more troops has been strongest within Republican ranks....

Well, I'M a REPUBLICAN and I'M AGAINST the WARS!!!!!

Strange how VIOLENCE RISES when we are getting ready to LEAVE, huh?

Mullen and retired Gen. Karl W. Eikenberry, the U.S. ambassador in Afghanistan, acknowledged widespread allegations of fraud in last week's Afghan elections. But they described the elections as an important step toward what Eikenberry called a "renewal of trust" by the Afghan people in their government.

The DOUBLE STANDARDS are AMAZING, huh?

IRAN'S VOTE wasn't even counted yet and the government and MSM were HOLLERING FRAUD!

Eikenberry and Mullen spoke on CNN's "State of the Union" and NBC's "Meet the Press."

I'm GLAD I NEVER WATCH those programs anymore!

Years ago -- before I knew better -- those Sunday chat shows were my Super Sunday every week. I can't tell you the last time I watched one. At least three years ago; probably a lot longer.

In Iraq, where bombings last week killed at least 100 people, "the key is whether this is an indicator of future sectarian violence," Mullen said. "And certainly, many of us believe that one way that this can come unwound is through sectarian violence."

Future deployments to Afghanistan, where the U.S. troop presence is expected to reach 68,000 by the end of the year -- including 21,000 that Obama authorized this year -- depend in part on the rate of withdrawal from Iraq....

Translation: They are MOVING from ONE BATTLEFIELD to the NEXT.

They are NOT COMING HOME, folks!

And GET READY for a DRAFT after the next "terror event," kiddos!!!!!!

Since the bombings, senior military officials said, the Iraqi government has requested stepped-up U.S. intelligence, including increased overhead imaging. Many of those resources have been transferred to Afghanistan under orders of Gen. David H. Petraeus, who is in charge of both war theaters as head of the U.S. Central Command.

Un-frikkin-real!

So they are MAKING the SAME MISTAKES ALL OVER AGAIN, huh?

They PULLED the stuff from Afghanistan to go into Iraq, and now they are pulling it back!!!!?

Overhead surveillance platforms, including aerial drones, are split between the two theaters, with 70 percent located in Afghanistan and along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, said one official who requested anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss intelligence on the record.

Mullen said: ".... Whatever the mission is, it needs to be resourced correctly."

No, because THIS ALSO DID NOT APPEAR in my PRINTED PAPER!!!!

"Generals say more troops needed in Afghanistan; As needs rise, support wanes for Obama" by Helene Cooper, New York Times | August 24, 2009

BAGRAM, Afghanistan - Military commanders with the NATO mission in Afghanistan told President Obama’s chief envoy to the region this weekend that they did not have enough troops....

Can YOU SPELL DRAFT, American teenagers and twenty-somethings?

The possibility that more troops will be needed in Afghanistan presents the Obama administration with a new problem in dealing with a nearly 8-year-old war that has lost popularity at home, compounded by new questions over the credibility of the American-backed Afghan government, which has just held an as-yet inconclusive presidential election beset by complaints of fraud....

The American commanders in Afghanistan spoke at length this weekend with Richard C. Holbrooke, Obama’s special representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Over the past two days, Holbrooke visited all four regional military command centers in Afghanistan, and the message from all four followed similar lines: While the additional American troops, along with smaller increases from other NATO members, have had some benefit in the south, the numbers remain below what commanders say they need....

Interesting that the ANTIWAR CONCERNS are being MINIMIZED, huh?

The White House has clearly been concerned about declining support for the war among the American public.

Because we are SICK of the LIES and SICK of the KILLING!!!!

After a stretch of recent polls illustrating that declining support, both Mullen and Lieutenant General Karl W. Eikenberry, the American ambassador to Afghanistan, went on the Sunday talk shows to discuss the direction of the mission.

Yeah, do THESE GUYS EVER NEED a TERROR ATTACK!!!!!!!

“I’m certainly aware of the criticality of support of the American people for this war and, in fact, any war. And so certainly the numbers are of concern.... ’’ Mullen said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.’’

So that false-flag terror event must be well along in the pipeline, huh?
