Second Stimuloot on the Way

What, after they completely wasted the first one?

Pelsoi Says Stimuloot a Success

Isn't that the definition of insanity?

Saying and doing the same thing and expecting a different result?

The looting of the American people and the destruction of their country due to the debt load saddens me to no end.
Yeah, why not top off the borrowing at a cool trillion -- and not one job created.

Of course, the pro-stimuloot, pro-tax, pro-special interest, agenda-pushing paper thinks everything is great.

"Clinics receive $80m boost; 8 Mass. centers obtain large share of stimulus cash" by Stephen Smith, Globe Staff | December 10, 2009

Eight Massachusetts community health centers, which deliver care in some of the poorest neighborhoods in the state, are receiving $80 million in federal stimulus cash to help replace cramped buildings and upgrade technology, the Obama administration announced yesterday.

For the state, it was an impressive haul: Roughly one of every eight dollars that the federal Health Resources and Services Administration committed yesterday to community clinics is bound for Massachusetts.

I know I should be thankful; however, I feel guilt. We LOOTED OUR FELLOW CITIZENS for this "impressive haul," Bay Staters -- while your state government tosses tax loot away and talks about raising taxes AGAIN!

The $600 million being spent nationwide is part of the administration’s campaign to create jobs in a battered economy, and interviews with the presidents of Boston community health centers suggest the projects will generate hundreds of construction jobs as well as hundreds of new permanent clinic jobs for doctors, nurses, and other medical workers....

Yeah, PROMISES, PROMISES!!!

And if they COUNT THEM like PELOSI did, well... FAILURE!!!

Many of the health centers long ago outgrew space cobbled together over the years as they treated patients stricken with conditions that have become strikingly more common - and severe - including asthma and diabetes. And the number of patients seeking care has only grown since the overhaul of the state’s health care system in 2006, which provided thousands of uninsured patients with coverage, but no guarantee they could get an appointment with overburdened primary care doctors. It is a conundrum evident on an hourly basis at the community health centers....

And it is the model you will be getting in about a week, America.

Don't worry; you get used to it. Just don't get sick or access the health system.

******************

Boston is the birthplace of the community health center movement: In December 1965, at the height of the nation’s so-called war on poverty, a clinic opened in Columbia Point, placing the city at the forefront of a crusade to bring medical services to often neglected urban neighborhoods.

Then after 43 YEARS it has FAILED -- and the paper is clapping them on the back!!

That long history and the state’s ironclad connections with the Obama administration may go a long way toward explaining why Massachusetts clinics captured such a significant share of the stimulus dollars. In an interview, Governor Deval Patrick said he pleaded the clinics’ case directly with Kathleen Sebelius, the former Kansas governor who is secretary of Health and Human Services in the Obama administration.

“I’ve had a number of conversations with folks in the White House and the secretary, who was a pal of mine when she was governor of Kansas,’’ Patrick said. “Every one of these health centers serves a vulnerable population, folks who often don’t have a voice....’’

Translation: We got the tax loot because WE GOTS CONNECTIONS!

I'm SO ASHAMED!!!! I'd GIVE IT ALL BACK if it were up to me, readers!!!

Martin Kramer, communications director for the Health Resources and Services Administration, described the competition for the stimulus cash as fierce, with barely one in six clinics that sought cash receiving it. “It wasn’t that there was anything specific about Massachusetts,’’ Kramer said. “It was that these individual health centers made very compelling arguments as to why they needed this funding and how it would benefit the communities they serve.’’

Yeah, sure.

And they wonder why we no longer believe a word they say.

"House Democrats seek $40 billion in defense bill for jobs" by Joseph Williams, Globe Staff | December 12, 2009

WASHINGTON - Massachusetts Representative Michael E. Capuano and other House Democrats are drafting an amendment to a defense spending bill up for a vote in the coming weeks that would provide $40 billion to create jobs, one of several proposals under development as lawmakers debate a second round of major spending on the economy.

What, after the FIRST $787 BILLION was WASTED?!!!

Isn't that throwing GOOD MONEY after BAD!?!?

Capuano, a Somerville Democrat, said yesterday the amendment will focus on putting people to work rebuilding the nation’s crumbling roads and bridges, and will be likely also to include direct aid to states and cities as well as an extension of unemployment insurance.

“Right now, it’s in the vicinity of $30 billion to $40 billion in infrastructure money, and probably a similar amount of money for governments, so state and local governments can maintain what they have’’ without layoffs, he said.

Maybe you could cut down on the globetrotting, huh? That would save us some money and not make you look like such a hypocrite.

Congressional leaders “now get the message: There is a need for a jobs bill as soon as possible,’’ said Capuano, who ran unsuccessfully for his party’s nomination to replace Senator Edward M. Kennedy. He said Democrats decided to fast-track a bill they had been working on after he told colleagues voters are restless about unemployment and looking to Congress for action.

They have HAD YEARS and a STIMULOOT of $787 BILLION and all WE GOT was LIES!!!!! Now they want to PIECEMEAL another $250 BILLION or so?

The move caps a week of activity on the economy and unemployment, in which President Obama outlined his strategy to create jobs and hosted a bipartisan meeting on the issue with congressional leaders. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Thursday members have several proposals in the works to boost unemployment, including aid to small businesses....

I know I should be grateful; however, WHERE YOU BEEN??!!!

I regard this as nothing more than FART-MISTING ARM FLAILING because they KNOW the PUBLIC is PISSED!!!!

John Kerry says a new stimulus bill should focus on clean energy jobs. Niki Tsongas wants to rebuild libraries and community theaters, and Michael Capuano would spend on roads and housing.

With President Obama pushing another $200 billion plus infusion into the economy, Massachusetts congressional leaders have no shortage of ideas on how the money should be spent. Most propose a scaled-back version of the first $787 billion plan, but with the new money concentrated on some of the same major targets: transportation, clean energy projects, and local government services. One new point of emphasis: tax breaks for businesses.

When a SOLUTION FAILS do you TRY IT AGAIN, America?

That's what YOUR LOOTING GOVERNMENT is doing!!!

In interviews with the Globe, members of the Massachusetts delegation said a second stimulus is necessary to reduce persistently high unemployment. They provided broad outlines of their proposals, without specific cost estimates, because many are still refining details as debate picks up in Congress.

Truthfully, this just hurts me, readers. I feel so bad for the American taxpayer who is getting laid out on a slab by these thieves.

Many said they want the initiative funded at least partly from the $210 billion still in the bailout fund the government created last year to help banks through the credit crisis.

Yeah, so they just had $210 billion dollars from the bank bailout lying around as foreclosure rates set records and the job market unwound. Looking out for you though, 'murkn.

“At this point, the best thing we can do with the money is use it to create jobs,’’ said Capuano, who wants bailout funds spent on roads and bridges, as well as invested in the science, education, and health care industries.

Really, I DO NOT WANT ANY MORE BORROWING!!!

This government is a THIEVING DOPE FIEND and needs to be SHUT OFF COLD TURKEY!!!

Obama floated one plan for the bank bailout funds last week - providing loans to businesses looking to expand or hire new workers. The president also proposed new economic measures that could push the government’s overall stimulus spending to $1 trillion, although the final size of the package is yet to be determined.

Knowing DemocraPs it will be even more!

Among Obama’s proposals: creating “cash for caulkers’’ rebates for homeowners who invest in weatherization projects, eliminating capital gains taxes on small business investment, and spending billions more on road improvements and other construction projects. Obama stops short of a New-Deal-like public works program favored by some members of Congress, preferring a smaller investment in that category. Some Massachusetts members have argued a larger federal investment in transportation and other construction projects is the quickest way to increase hiring.

You know, you HAD $787 BILLION and a YEAR to do that already and you FAILED!! Please STOP WASTING MONEY and BANKRUPTING THIS NATION!!!

Although you BETTER DO IT NOW because I AM HELPING TO REMOVE YOU NEXT YEAR just as I HELPED PUT YOU IN in '06 Dems!! You HAD YOUR CHANCE and you have FAILED MIGHTILY!!! Passing a HEALTH TAX and sucking Zionist Joe's pud is not going to help matters, either!

“Oftentimes, I think you can tell how the economy is going by the number of people in the street with a red flag,’’ said US Representative Richard Neal, a Democrat from Springfield. “And there are not enough of those people right now.’’

His colleague from South Boston, Democrat Stephen Lynch, said he would support a “transportation bill plus,’’ which would entail increasing the size of an upcoming annual appropriations bill to include new highway and transit projects. Lynch and others said any new stimulus should cost a fraction of the first measure and must focus on creating and preserving jobs, and extending unemployment benefits to out-of-work individuals....

It's the SAME OLD FAILED POLICIES!!!

Just MORE WASTED TAX LOOT thrown at FAVORED SPECIAL INTERESTS!

Currently, Democratic proposals in Congress would add $170 billion in stimulus spending through a broad array of proposals....

Yeah, so YOU CAN'T SEE IT and so it doesn't have the attached STIGMA of a STIMULOOT!

More specifically, US Representative Edward Markey, chairman of the House Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming, said makers of wind and solar products should receive manufacturing tax credits, while businesses and homeowners who install clean energy technologies should be eligible for separate credits.

What a STINKING SHILL is that PoS!!!

Related:

"Markey, the dean of the delegation, has taken eight congressional trips abroad since 2005, some in his capacity as chairman of a select committee on global warming.

Oh, GALLIVANTING around the Globe, 'eh, Ed?

THAT can NOT be good for the CARBON FOOTPRINT!!!!

Congressman John Tierney also wants more government spending on clean energy, as well as transportation. But he also called on Massachusetts state officials to more quickly spend the stimulus money the federal government has already provided. As of the last congressional accounting, Massachusetts ranked 49th in the nation in putting highway funds to work.

Slow Stimulus

Governor Deval Patrick said his administration will step up highway spending in the coming months and by the end of January will have allocated all of its $437 million in highway stimulus funds, a full month before the deadline imposed by the federal government.

So who stole it all, taxpayers?

I mean, we are talking Taxalootsitts here!!!

Several congressmen also want more money to go to state and local governments, which are already the largest recipients of federal stimulus aid this year. US Representative Barney Frank said the primary problem with the first stimulus is that it did not provide local governments with enough money. The Newton Democrat lamented the removal of $25 billion in government aid from the bill due to a last-minute compromise with three senators: Republicans Susan Collins and Olympia Snow of Maine, and new Democrat Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania.

“Aid to state and local governments is my highest priority because you get a double benefit,’’ Frank said. “First of all, you get employment and, secondly, you get useful things - cops, firefighters, teachers....’’

Yeah, and BARNEY gets his INTEREST PAYMENTS!!!

What a REAL SLICK PoS, huh, world?

So where they gonna hide all this stuff?

"Senate sends $1.1 trillion spending bill to Obama; 3 Democrats, all but 3 in GOP reject proposal" by Jim Abrams, Associated Press | December 14, 2009

WASHINGTON - A $626 billion defense bill, will be used as the base for another catch-all package of measures that Congress must deal with in the coming days. Those include action to raise the $12.1 trillion debt ceiling and proposals to stimulate the job market....

Here is your first installment
:

"House narrowly approves jobs measure; But payments for Social Security, tax credits absent" by Andrew Taylor, Associated Press | December 17, 2009

WASHINGTON - President Obama’s Democratic allies in the House yesterday muscled through a year-end plan to create jobs, mixing about $50 billion for public works projects with another almost $50 billion for cash-strapped state and local governments.

The unemployed would get continued benefits. But conspicuously absent from the plan were Obama’s recently disclosed initiatives to give Social Security recipients $250 payments, a tax credit for small businesses that create jobs, and a program awarding tax credits to people who make their homes more energy efficient. Not a single Republican voted for the plan, which passed on a 217-to-212 vote after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a California Democrat, worked the floor for an hour before it passed.

I wonder if her mouth got tired.

Of course, if Repuglicans did that the complaints would be vociferously boisterous.

The measure now goes to the Senate, which won’t consider the measure until next year and which generally has a smaller appetite for such deficit-financed economic stimulus measures. Given increasing anxiety among Democrats over massive budget deficits and the party’s poor marks with voters for its free-spending ways, the measure could face a tough road. Almost 40 Democrats voted against the plan, mostly moderates and junior members elected from swing districts.

Yeah, well, THEY SHOULD BE WORRIED because THEY ARE OUT in 2010!!!

According to documents released by Democrats, the measure would cost $154 billion. But there’s also another $20 billion from the federal treasury to keep the highway trust fund afloat. The measure blends a familiar mix of money for highway, transit, and water projects, and aid to help communities retain teachers and firefighters. There’s also $41 billion for a six-month extension of more generous unemployment benefits and $12 billion to renew health insurance subsidies. Many of the ideas are renewals of programs started in February’s $787 billion economic stimulus bill, which has earned mixed reviews....

And that is as FAR as the CRITICISM of this LOOTING has gone in the pro-stimulus, agenda-pushing MSM!!!

The bill also reflects concerns among rank-and-file Democrats the original stimulus measure didn’t have enough money for infrastructure projects. But infrastructure spending is notoriously slow to spend out as projects need to be planned and can require a lengthy contracting process. Most of the so-called shovel ready projects have already been funded.

Look at the MSM MAKING EXCUSES for them!!!

According to the Congressional Budget Office, less than half of the $39 billion in the measure for transportation and housing projects would be spent over the next decade, with just $1.7 billion being spent through next September. Democrats claimed $75 billion of the measure is “paid for’’ with unused money from the Wall Street bailout.

What do you mean UNUSED BANK MONEY SITTING AROUND for a YEAR?!!

Republicans countered the bill is really financed with red ink since the bailout money would otherwise revert to the Treasury to lower the deficit. Republicans branded the new bill “Son of Stimulus’’ and were withering in their assessments....

As am I.

Of course, those same Repuglicans eagerly fund wars and corporations, as I would not.
