State Still in Session

Related: State Shuts Down For Year

So they LIED AGAIN, huh?

"Lawmakers consider gasoline tax hike

A hearing is scheduled at the State House today as Massachusetts lawmakers weigh a series of bills that would increase the state’s gasoline tax. The gas tax, currently 23.5 cents per gallon, would increase by 50 cents under one proposal to help cover the Massachusetts Turnpike’s Big Dig-related debts.

Yup, so BANKS can GET PAID USURIOUS INTEREST after setting up CROOKED DEALS!!!

Another bill would boost the tax by a dime and gradually increase it by a penny each year thereafter to help clear the MBTA’s debt, eliminate tolls, and pay for road repairs. Lawmakers balked at a 19 cent-per-gallon increase proposed last spring that would have given the state the highest gas tax in the country. The hearing is before the Transportation Committee (AP)."

Yup, this after they CONVINCED YOU to VOTE to KEEP the INCOME TAX or the sky would fall; after they CONVINCED YOU a
SALES TAX HIKE was needed to SAVE SERVICES -- which are being CUT ANYWAY; and now they say they need to INCREASE the GAS TAX before moving on to an INCOME TAX INCREASE!!!

TAR, FEATHER, HARBOR!

Where are you, Massachusetts?

Are you TRULY THIS PATHETIC!!?

(Answer: Yes, they are)
