For many members of Red Sox Nation, loyalties run deep. US Representative William Delahunt is no different, as the lifelong Sox fan voted against a US House resolution yesterday congratulating the New York Yankees on their World Series victory, said Mark Forest, a spokesman for the Democrat. House Resolution 893 was sponsored by US Representative José E. Serrano, a New York Democrat. The resolution was passed. “He told me that as a lifelong member of Red Sox Nation, he couldn’t bring himself to vote for it,’’ Forest said of Delahunt’s action.
