"HONORING THE FALLEN

Above, American flags were reflected in the window of the hearse as a Marine Honor Guard removed the casket bearing Captain Eric A. Jones for his funeral service yesterday in Falmouth. Jones, 29, whose portrait (in photo, left) was taped to a windsheield of a Patriot Guard motorcycle outside the funeral, died Oct. 126 when two helicopters, an AH-1 Cobra and a Huey, collided over Afghanistan in Helmand Province. Jones grew up in Westchester N.Y., and was stationed at Camp Pendleton in California. His parents live in Mashpee. Marine Captain Kyle Rolf Van De Giesen of North Attleborough also was killed in the crash.
