Where Do You Get Intelligence in Afghanistan?

Not from these guys!

"More Afghan polls closed amid security worry; Fear of violence follows threats against voters" by Dusan Stojanovic, Associated Press | September 9, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — The presence of coalition forces and allegations of Pakistani support for the Taliban featured prominently in speeches at a Kabul rally to commemorate the ninth anniversary of the death of legendary anti-Soviet guerrilla Ahmad Shah Massoud. The ethnic Tajik commander was slain by two Al Qaeda members posing as journalists two days before the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in the United States....

With the corporate media an obvious arm of government one can only draw the conclusion that they are ALL CIA newspapers!

Ahmad Shah Massoud links with CIA

They must have turned on him.

Also yesterday, the Taliban’s shadowy leader told Afghans that the insurgents are winning the war and warned Americans that they are wasting lives and billions in tax dollars by continuing in the conflict.

I SMELL PROPAGANDA!!

A CLASSIC TECHNIQUE is to have the "enemy" tell the truth -- thus discrediting it and making whatever they suggest not an option.

In an end-of-Ramadan message posted on jihadist websites and relayed by the Site Intelligence Group, the Taliban leader also said....

Yeah, I thought I
smelled something.

But it will change when we flop Flynn for Fogarty:

"Intelligence chief in Afghanistan gets new post" by Kimberly Dozier and Anne Gearan, Associated Press | September 10, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — The top US and NATO intelligence officer in Afghanistan, Major General Michael Flynn, is moving to a senior intelligence job in Washington, D.C., two defense officials said yesterday....

Flynn is expected to be replaced by Brigadier General Stephen Fogarty, the current intelligence chief for the US Central Command in Florida....

The move will mark the departure of one of the last senior officers put in place by the former US and NATO commander in Afghanistan, retired General Stanley McChrystal....

Fogarty served previously in Afghanistan as commander of the Joint Information Operation Center, which ran much of the military’s Predator drone and remote surveillance intelligence at the time. Drones have been key to spotting and helping target insurgent networks.

During Flynn’s tenure in Afghanistan, he produced a controversial report entitled “Fixing Intelligence,’’ which criticized the intelligence gathering structure in Afghanistan. In doing so, he went outside Defense channels to publish the report with the Center for a New American Security, a US think tank.

Translation: Flynn was FIRED!

Yeah, I noticed more civilians are dying as the air strikes pick up in frequency.

Nice to know he found a niche.

The report criticized military intelligence gathering here as too intent on targeting militants, with little attention given to mapping the economic and social data Flynn said was needed to mount an effective counterinsurgency strategy.

Don't have to worry about it when you blow them away.

So what are they doing with the intel leads?

"NATO says it killed planner of attacks" by Dusan Stojanovic, Associated Press | September 11, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — An Afghan insurgent commander who was allegedly planning bombings in Kabul on the eve of the Sept. 18 parliamentary elections and two of his associates have been killed in an airstrike, NATO said yesterday.

The military alliance said in a statement that intelligence sources tracked Nur Mohammed and two armed militants to a field in the remote Musahi district of Kabul province. Coalition aircraft carried out the airstrike Thursday night after ensuring no civilians were present, it added....

Like I'm going to believe them.

Those election workers sure vanished in more ways than one.

Also yesterday, Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen of NATO urged European nations to boost their presence to meet the 2,000 troop increase requested by the United States primarily to train Afghan police and the military. He said NATO-led troops won’t be in Afghanistan forever, but “we won’t leave until the Afghan security forces are ready.’’

Translation: they will be there forever.

More psyop prop I no longer believe:

"30 insurgents killed in Afghanistan" by Associated Press | September 15, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — NATO said the coalition forces killed three “known manufacturers’’ of improvised explosive devices in Wardak, just west of capital Kabul. “The removal of these criminals effectively removed a potential threat to the people of Afghanistan,’’ said Lieutenant Colonel Dan Morgan, regional command-east chief of operations, in a statement....

Then why are we losing?
