Koran Krap From Afghanistan

No disrespect intended toward the book itself; it is what my agenda-pushing corporate media is doing with it.

"5 Afghans hurt protesting plan to burn Korans" by Rod Nordland, New York Times | September 11, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — A fringe Florida preacher may have suspended his Koran-burning, but word reached Afghanistan too late for 24-year-old Muhammed Daoud. He was shot to death during a protest outside a NATO base in western Afghanistan, according to Afghan officials.

Urged on by their religious leaders, Afghans in many locations around the country poured out of their mosques and took to the streets yesterday morning, and in most cases the demonstrations remained peaceful. Two of them turned violent, however, in both cases outside NATO reconstruction bases, and at least 12 people were wounded, three of them critically, in addition to the one who was killed.

Time to leave.

Some blamed the intensity of the reaction to the hostility to American and other foreign troops in Afghanistan; others on the seriousness with which Afghans take religion....

Good thing we don't have people like that in AmeriKa, huh?!

Who gave the fringe kook days and days of press coverage, agenda-pushers?

Yesterday was Eid al-Fitr, the beginning of the three-day feast marking the end of Ramadan, the first time that has coincided with the 9/11 anniversary, which the Florida preacher, Terry Jones, had threatened to mark with his small church’s Koran burning.

That's the implication, isn't it?

It was not, said Hafizullah, a well-known religious scholar from Wardak Province, that Afghans were too ignorant to know that Jones had said he might not go ahead — but rather they were informed enough to see that he had not definitively backed down. Like many Afghans, he uses only one name.

“Ninety percent of people have access to radios and they listen to the news very, very carefully,’’ Hafizullah said. Urged on by their mullahs, however, the protesters yesterday were determined to make a statement.

Please REMEMBER THIS for later LIES of the AmeriKan MSM!!

“If burning the Koran ever did happen,’’ he said, “every foreigner in this country, 100 percent of them, will be in trouble. Every Muslim is responsible to show their reaction to that. It is the right thing to do.’’

“This shows that the disaffection of the Afghans toward Americans is very, very strong,’’ said Ahmad Shah Ahmadzai, a former Afghan prime minister. “It’s the result of all those killings of civilians they keep doing.’’

We NEED to STOP, America!!

APOLOGIZE, BEG for FORGIVENESS, and LEAVE!

***********

A statement from the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force Regional Command East blamed the Florida action on “a small group of extremists in the United States who are planning offensive acts against Islam.’’

I do wonder who in the U.S. government is cooperating with Israel's Mossad to engineer the next false flag attack, yeah.

Ahmadzai responded to the military’s statement, saying, “We thank them for that, but if this goes ahead it will turn into very dangerous violence.’’ The two violent protests yesterday took place far from major conflict zones.

In the city of Bala Buluk in Farah Province, a demonstration outside the base of the Provincial Reconstruction Team, staffed by American soldiers, ended in gunfire.

Nasir Sultan Zada, the emergency room doctor on duty at the Central Public Hospital there, said four protesters were brought in with gunshot wounds. One, Daoud, who was from the village of Shewan in Farah province, was already dead, he said.

“We do not know who shot them,’’ Zada said. “Whether police shot them or coalition forces, it’s not clear.’’ Local police officials could not be contacted to explain what happened.

Umm, when OUR GUYS are GUNNING DOWN CROWDS it is TIME TO LEAVE!

Only when they say bad things about us; otherwise, it is blast away like our Afghan forces.

The second violent episode, in northern Afghanistan, began as a peaceful demonstration by thousands of people after morning prayers at local mosques in Faizabad, the capital of Badakshan Province, according to Afghan officials.

Badakshan is one of the safest provinces in the country.

Several hundred of the demonstrators, some on foot and others crammed into automobiles, broke away and stormed toward the Airport Road, where the Provincial Reconstruction Base was located.

Four policemen were wounded by stone throwers among the crowd, which overwhelmed defenders at the base’s outer wall, the Afghan officials said.

WTF, America? If STONE-THROWERS are threatening our "reconstruction" bases we are IN TROUBLE!

Time to PACK UP and LEAVE!

Of course, we can't because they are out-of-control on this Koran thing, right?

"Afghanistan more dangerous now, aid groups report; Taliban have a presence in areas once safe" by Rod Nordland, New York Times | September 12, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — In a separate development yesterday, about 10,000 people protested in eastern Afghanistan against a small American church’s earlier plan to burn the Koran, chanting “Death to America’’ and setting shops and police checkpoints on fire, the Associated Press reported.

I'll bet that will get a comment from the U.S. government.

Din Mohammad Darwish, spokesman for the governor of Logar Province, said police fired warning shots into the air to prevent the protesters from storming the governor’s house.

Several hundred protesters rallied yesterday outside Bagram Air Field, a major NATO base. The protest ended after about an hour, Afghan officials said.

The protests continued despite a decision by Terry Jones to call off plans to burn copies of the Muslim holy book in Gainesville, Fla. In a country where most people have limited access to newspapers, television, and the Internet, most Afghans were unaware of Jones’s decision....

What a LIE when I just read above that they HAVE RADIOS are are WELL-INFORMED!

I mean, THEY WOULD KNOW!

They do NOT NEED MEDIA to tell them WHAT THEY ARE LIVING!

The PROPAGANDA PAPERS are for YOU, dear Amurkn shit-head!

KABUL, Afghanistan — Two protesters died and four were injured as Afghans protested for a third day yesterday against a plan by an American pastor to burn copies of the Islamic holy book, despite his decision to call it off.

Mohammad Rahim Amin, chief of the Baraki Barak district in eastern Logar Province, said the deaths and injuries occurred when Afghan soldiers opened fire on hundreds of protesters trying to storm local government headquarters.

Winning over more hearts and minds!

During recent protests against the Koran burning, Afghans have regularly targeted the pro-Western government.

Terry Jones, pastor of a small Florida church, said Saturday that “we feel that God is telling us to stop’’ the Koran burning, which was to coincide with the ninth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

Hey, now we all know.

The plan to burn the Koran stirred outrage among millions of Muslims worldwide.

I'm starting to wonder about that.

I think most Muslims have other things to worry about -- like staying alive.

Then again, it is not like our newspapers would lie about Muslims or anything.

Protesters in Logar chanted “Death to America,’’ burned tires, attacked several shops, and set election campaign posters on fire, Amin said.

“I can say for sure that this was the work of the enemies of peace and stability in Afghanistan who are trying to use any opportunity to disrupt the security situation,’’ Amin said.

So which CIA officer is handling the case?

In a country where most people have limited access to newspapers, television, and the Internet, many Afghans seemed unaware of Jones’s decision to call off the Koran burning.

Wow, did I just have a deja vu.

Yeah, keep the lies coming, MSM. Maybe it is things like this that are upsetting them:

"Strikes kill 14 Afghan insurgents, NATO says" by Associated Press | September 14, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — A series of NATO air strikes killed 14 insurgents in central Afghanistan after a joint patrol with Afghan soldiers came under fire, the Western military alliance said yesterday.

The clash occurred Sunday while the patrol was crossing a river in Uruzgan province, a center of the Taliban insurgency, NATO said in a statement.

NATO troops requested air support after receiving small-arms fire and concluding there was no danger of civilian casualties, it said. Initial reports indicated no civilian casualties occurred, and members of the joint patrol were unhurt in the attack, NATO said.

The number of attacks and clashes are rising amid an allied offensive aimed at suppressing the stubborn Taliban insurgency....

Also on Sunday, a rocket was fired by militants toward an Afghan army supply base in Jalalabad city, in eastern Nangarhar Province, police spokesman Ghafor Khan said.

The rocket missed its target and slammed into a house, wounding nine civilians, including four children, Khan said. According to initial reports, the injuries were not life-threatening, he said.

Gee those Taliban have bad aim for guys winning the war.

"30 insurgents killed in Afghanistan" by Associated Press | September 15, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — Up to 30 insurgents have been killed in fighting ahead of this week’s parliamentary elections in Afghanistan, which the Taliban want to undermine, NATO and Afghan officials said yesterday.

The military alliance said that up to 23 militants were killed in action in southern Helmand Province Monday and three in eastern Wardak Province yesterday. An Afghan official said four Taliban were killed yesterday in southeastern Zabul Province.

There were no reports of casualties among joint NATO-Afghan forces. Attacks and clashes are rising amid an allied offensive aimed at suppressing the continuing Taliban insurgency.

Couple subtle word shifts, but another deja vu.

That is how you recognize corporate media propaganda.

They keep on repeating and repeating it.

And repeating it....

KABUL, Afghanistan — Police fired warning shots to disperse hundreds of stone-hurling Afghans yesterday in the latest in a series of protests against Koran burning in the United States.

At least 35 police officers and 10 protesters were wounded, said Interior Ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashary. Hospital officials said two people had gunshot wounds, apparently from ricocheting bullets.

The topic of Koran burning has stirred outrage among millions of Muslims and others worldwide after a small American church in Florida threatened to destroy the holy book to mark the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Although that church backed down, several copycat burnings were posted on the Internet and broadcast in the Muslim world.

Some people can't even read the writing on the wall.

But Afghan police have insisted that the Taliban are deliberately using the anger to turn the rallies into antigovernment protests ahead of Saturday’s parliamentary elections.

Up to 800 protesters gathered at a square on the outskirts of the capital, Kabul, chanting “Death to America’’ and listening to fiery speeches from Muslim clerics demanding the ouster of the Afghan government and calling for foreign troops to leave.

The protesters burned tires and hurled stones at police officers, who responded with assault rifle firing into the air.

Khalil Dastyar, deputy Kabul police chief, said the protest started peacefully, but the crowd eventually charged the police.

“Police opened fire to stop the charge,’’ he said, saying the protesters fired toward the police with pistols.

All authorities are the same: liars.

Cleric Enayat Ullah said at the protest that he was “ready to sacrifice my life for the Koran. We came here to defend our holy book.’’

Police Officer Mohammad Fahim said he doubted that the Koran burning was the main aim of the protest.

“They say they are protesting because of the Koran, but what I saw among the protesters were our enemies, the Taliban,’’ he said. “They want to sabotage the security ahead of this week’s elections.’’

Not much to sabotage, but....

"Afghan officials promise security for voters" by Heidi Vogt and Mirwais Khan, Associated Press | September 17, 2010

KABUL, Afghanistan — Adding to tensions in Afghanistan has been a series of protests in recent days against reported burnings of Korans in the United States. Yesterday, about 100 rock-throwing protesters moved toward a NATO military base in Chora district of Uruzgan in southwest Afghanistan. The provincial governor, Khudi Rahim, said one person was killed.

It is TIME TO LEAVE, America! Or do you have ROCKS in your HEAD?

The coalition said a protester pointed an AK-47 at a guard tower at Forward Operating Base Mirwais and was shot by a NATO service member.

Do you believe anything lying NATO says anymore? I don't.

Protesters pulled the man away before coalition members were able to determine his condition. According to the coalition, the protest was reportedly held in response to an alleged Koran burning inside the base on Wednesday. NATO said the blaze was a routine burning of coalition papers....

WTF is NATO doing BURNING RECORDS, huh?
