Occupation Iraq: Empires Never Have to Say Sorry

Actually, they do but you have to wait.

"Britain faces investigation in Iraqi abuse allegations; Defense officials say accusations taken seriously" by Paisley Dodds, Associated Press | November 15, 2009

I dread reading this one.

LONDON - Iraqi civilians who were detained by British troops during the US-led war have leveled some 33 allegations of rape and abuse against male and female soldiers, Britain’s Ministry of Defense said yesterday. The allegations come in the wake of the British withdrawal from Iraq this year.

One man says he was raped by two British soldiers while another says he was sexually humiliated by both male and female personnel. Others allege they were stripped naked and photographed in the same style as the notorious pictures at Abu Ghraib, where abuses of prisoners by US troops helped fuel anti-American sentiment....

What this tells you is TORTURE IS STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE for the USRAELI EMPIRE and its junior partners!!!!

A public inquiry is underway into the death of hotel worker Baha Mousa. He died in the custody of British troops following a raid on his hotel in Basra in 2003 and suffered 93 separate injuries. British Corporal Donald Payne pleaded guilty to inhumanely treating Iraqi civilians in Britain’s first war crimes conviction.

“Given the history of the U.K.’s involvement in the development of these techniques alongside the US, it is deeply concerning that there appears to be strong similarities between instances of the use of sexual humiliation,’’ Phil Shiner, the lawyer representing the Iraqis who made the claims, said in a letter to the Ministry of Defense....

As a WESTERN CITIZEN I am ASHAMED and EMBARRASSED at what has been CARRIED OUT in MY NAME!!!

HOW DARE Obama or Brown or ANY OTHER WESTERN PUKE CRITICIZE Muslims or Asians or ANYONE ELSE over "human rights."

Oh, and THEY HAVEN'T INVADED NATIONS and KILLED MILLIONS, either!

In one of the most serious allegations, a 16-year-old boy said that he was among a group of Iraqis in May 2003 who were taken to the Shatt-al-Arab British camp to help fill sandbags. In a statement reported by The Independent newspaper, he alleged when he entered a room to get more sandbags he saw two British male soldiers engaged in oral sex. When he tried to leave, he alleges the men started to beat and kick him. When he fell to the floor, he says one of the men held a blade to his neck while the other soldier stripped him naked. He says the two soldiers raped him.

Yeah, let's open the military to the gays! Pfffft!

Don't they rape enough women without further immorality introduced?

In another accusation, a 24-year-old Iraqi said he was playing football in April 2007 when he was approached by British soldiers in vehicles and taken to a British base with another youth. When he arrived at the camp, he was allegedly surrounded by six to eight soldiers who ordered two of the young men to pick fights with one another. He alleges that the soldiers then stood on top of them and shouted and laughed....

Sort of like Vick and the dogs, huh?

WTF is wrong with western societies, world?

Another 35-year-old carpenter said he was arrested in April 2006 and taken to the British camp at Shaaibah where he alleges he was subjected to sexual abuse and humiliation by both male and female soldiers. He alleged soldiers used to watch pornographic films and would play loud music when he tried to pray. He also alleged that female soldiers exposed themselves or taunted him sexually.

That is SUCH AN AFFRONT to a MUSLIM!!!! AmeriKan's have NO IDEA!!!!

Yeah, it was just PRANKS!!!

He alleged a soldier in the observation tower used to point the laser spot of his gun at his penis when he was in the toilet. At the U.S. prison camp at Guantanamo Bay, female guards and interrogators were documented as using aggressive and sexually charged techniques with the detainees, most of whom were Muslim....

Yeah, it is CALLED TORTURE!

British soldiers have faced a series of assertions that they mistreated Iraqi civilians in southern Iraq during six years of combat operations. Last year, Britain settled a legal case involving the death of one Iraqi civilian, and the abuse of nine others, paying out nearly 3 million pounds in compensation.

The Ministry of Defense said the allegations were being taken seriously: “.... Allegations of this nature are taken very seriously but must not be taken as fact. Formal investigations must be allowed to take their course.’’

Translation: BELIEVE the GOVERNMENT COVER-UP!

Armed forces minister Bill Rammell said any new allegations of mistreatment will be investigated.... It was unclear when results of the investigation would be released.

Yup, they will "investigate" it -- meaning they will BURY IT!

And for a country in crisis with a recent surge in violence in daily attacks, the MSM has been sorely lacking in coverage, huh?

BAGHDAD - Iraq’s Sunni Arab vice president threatened yesterday to veto the country’s election law unless changes are made giving Iraqis living abroad more guaranteed seats in Parliament, throwing the January vote into question.

The veto threat was made a week after lawmakers passed the long-delayed legislation, paving the way for national polls in January. Any delay in the voting could derail a US plan to withdraw combat troops from Iraq, a process scheduled to ramp up following the election....

I NEVER TOOK that LIE SERIOUSLY and STILL DO NOT!

Heard it TOO MANY TIMES BEFORE from the s*** MSM!!!!!!!

"Military analysts said the increase reflects a surge in costs for mine-resistant troop carriers and surveillance equipment for troops in Iraq"

Why are we INCREASING TROOP CARRIERS to IRAQ if we are LEAVING?

Also see: Occupation Iraq: Land of A Hundred Wars

And NOTHING in my MSM morning paper!

Most of the estimated 2 million Iraqis who fled the sectarian violence in their homeland are Sunni Arabs. The vast majority now live in Jordan and Syria.

Has the U.S. ever thanked them for cleaning up our mess?

Lawmakers haggled for weeks over the election law before passing it on Nov. 8, much to the relief of the United States, which has tied its withdrawal of all combat troops to the national vote. US military officials have said that they will begin to draw down forces about 60 days after the election, with the idea that the country will be on stable footing by then.

And if not? Leaving anyway? Then why did we stay so long?

We are NOT GOING ANYWHERE, America.

Have you LEARNED NOTHING?

Or IF WE ARE it is to FIGHT SOMEWHERE ELSE (Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan)?

Something you will never see in the war-promoting papers:

Huge rise in birth defects in Falluja

Another legacy of "liberation."
