Occupation Iraq: Iranians Capture AmeriKan Spies
"Iran may charge 3 arrested Americans as spies" by Nasser Karimi, Associated Press | August 5, 2009
TEHRAN - Iran has arrested three Americans who strayed across the border from Iraq on allegations they illegally entered the country, and a lawmaker said yesterday that authorities are deciding whether they will be accused of spying.
Officials in northern Iraq’s Kurdish region said Sunday that the three - Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd, and Joshua Fattal - were tourists who inadvertently crossed into Iran on July 31 while hiking in the region. Friends and family say the three were adventurous travelers who accidentally stumbled into the wrong place at the wrong time.
Their arrest and Iran’s accusations could spark a new standoff with the United States at a time when Iran is already mired in its worst political crisis in decades.... Earlier this year, the two countries faced off over American-Iranian journalist Roxana Saberi, who was held for more than three months and accused of spying.

"she had a copy of a confidential Iranian report on the US war in Iraq.... copied the report "out of curiosity" while she worked as a freelance translator for a powerful body connected to Iran's ruling clerics.... Prosecutors also cited a trip to Israel that Saberi made in 2006"
Translation: SHE WAS A SPY!!!!!
Lawmaker Mohammad Karim Abedi, who heads the Iranian parliament’s National Security Committee, said on state-run Arabic television Al-Alam that he believed the three came as spies but authorities are still deciding whether there is proof to bring legal action against them.
“If it is proven that they were spies,’’ he said, “the necessary legal procedures will be sought against them.’’
US State Department’s deputy spokesman, Robert A. Wood, dismissed the insinuations of espionage. “I don’t think these reports are credible at all,’’ he said.
The LAST person you listen to these days is some lying U.S. government flak or some jewsmedia source.
I'll take that as confirmation, sir.
And I will take the odd array of omissions and inclusions the Boston Globe decided to feature. See how far you can get before you upchuck your lunch.
"Pair endured bad food, isolation; Journalists ‘shocked’ at seeing Clinton" by Robert Jablon, Associated Press | August 6, 2009
BURBANK, Calif. - Two American journalists held captive in North Korea since March endured meals of rice with rocks, more than four months of isolation, and the constant fear they would be sent to a gulag.
At some point, the offensiveness is numbing.
Facing sentences of 12 years hard labor, they were allowed only sporadic contact with each other, let alone the outside world.
Please keep that lie in mind, readers.
Then, suddenly this week, they were brought into a meeting with none other than Bill Clinton, who helped win their release and flew home with them for a tearful reunion with their families....

And remember, "Legal experts believe a number of cases can’t be prosecuted because conditions were so harsh in Guantanamo, Afghanistan, and secret CIA “black sites’’ elsewhere. The number of cases involved isn’t known publicly since most of the background is still classified"
Need I even say anything?
And THOSE INNOCENTS are STILL LOCKED UP wherever they are.
But HARDLY ANY OUTSIDE CONTACT from the gulag, blah, blah, blah, blah.
I loathe newspapers now.
They were held in a guest house....
Pffft! Sigh! NO GULAG?
Ling, 32, and Lee, 36, are reporters for former Vice President Al Gore’s San Francisco-based Current TV.
That's why I BELIEVE they are SPIES!!! Gore's globalist TV network!
They had been working on a story about the trafficking of women when they were arrested in March, and sentenced to 12 years of hard labor for illegally entering North Korea....
Is that the non-official cover that was supplied for their mission?
They arrived at Bob Hope Airport at dawn aboard a
Oh, that's how they made it back, huh?

"Former president’s visit could serve US, N. Korean interests" by Steven R. Hurst, Associated Press | August 6, 2009
WASHINGTON - The Obama administration let North Korean leader Kim Jong Il save face by releasing two jailed Americans to former President Bill Clinton. The payoff - maybe not right away - is likely to be renewed dialogue with Pyongyang about its nuclear weapons program....
That's an insult right there, isn't it?
“Not so fast,’’ said Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. The journalists’ release could lubricate the way for the North to return to six-party talks about its nuclear program with the United States, Russia, China, Japan, and South Korea. But there, perhaps, is the rub.
Yeah, North Korea said those are done thanks to that undiplomatic shit-stepper !
And what is with the perverted word choices, MSM?
We fucking Korea again?
The North Koreans have been demanding bilateral talks with Washington. The United States, however, has shot down such overtures, insisting it will work only through the six-party format.
North Korean behavior - ever an enigma - has included in recent months the withdrawal from those talks. The regime also launched a long-range rocket, conducted a second nuclear test, test-fired a barrage of ballistic missiles, and restarted its atomic program in defiance of international criticism and the UN Security Council.
President Obama, while pushing heavy sanctions against the North for its recent nose-thumbing of the international community, also has been low-key as he pursues a resumption of talks with the Stalinist regime.

That’s been difficult because the North is widely believed to be embroiled in a succession struggle after Kim reportedly suffered a stroke and began setting up his 27-year-old son to take power. Pyongyang’s saber-rattling was widely believed to indicate that its military wanted to show strength as a successor is chosen....
In photographs of Clinton with Kim, the former president stood somberly at the North Korean leader’s side, showing no signs of warmth.
That's because their isn't any in that black-hearted, fat-assed, globalist SOB! Anybody who can do and contemplate doing the things these monsters are doesn't have heart. Can't have one.
The official photographs were obviously intended for domestic consumption. Clinton is highly regarded in the North and his appearance with Kim will bolster the ailing leader at home.
I'm tired of the one-sided Zionist bias and hypocrisy. Just sick of it.
Pardoning Ling and Lee satisfied North Korea’s need to continue maintaining that the two women had committed a crime, said Daniel Sneider, associate director of research at Stanford University’s Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center.
Of course, they DID COMMIT a CRIME by VIOLATING the BORDER, but, hey....
Why go to Jews for expertise about Koreans and Asians?
Do you talk to a Mexican when you need expertise on Israel, Zionist MSM?
Oh, yeah, yup, right.

And then, my LOCAL gives me this on a Sunday while the GLOBE ONCE AGAIN IGNORES another article on the matter. Had I been keeping up this would have been titled a Sunday Globe Omission.
"Iraq Asks Iran About 3 Detained Americans
(BAGHDAD) — Iraq has appealed to Iran for information about the detention of three Americans who crossed the border while hiking in the Kurdish north, the foreign minister said Saturday.
Yeah, because we told them to; America doesn't talk to Iran.
The request came as the three entered their second week in captivity facing the possibility of an investigation on spying charges despite the insistence of U.S. and Kurdish authorities that they accidentally went astray.... Iranian border guards detained freelance journalist Shane Bauer, Sara Shourd and Josh Fattal on July 31 while they were hiking near a waterfall on a mountain in Iraq's self-ruled Kurdish region.
Yeah, yeah, we know who they are and why they were there.
Shon Meckfessel, a companion who had skipped the outing because he was ill, has said the three had set up camp near a place called Ahmed Awa, which is famous for a beautiful waterfall, but later called to tell him they had been detained and urge him to call the U.S. Embassy.
A prominent Iranian lawmaker and member of parliament's National Security Committee, however, has rejected the suggestion the Americans were tourists and said authorities were investigating whether to charge them with espionage.
"Surely we can say that they came as spies," Mohammad Karim Abedi, a hard-line lawmaker said earlier this week on Iran's state-run Al-Alam TV. "The concerned authorities will decide whether they were spies or not. If it is proven that they were spies, the necessary legal procedures will be sought against them."
Yeah, WHO "VACATIONS" in a WAR ZONE?
He compared the matter with a case involving British military personnel seized by Iran in March 2007 after Tehran said they had entered Iranian waters from Iraqi territory. The 15 sailors and marines were held for nearly two weeks, and some were paraded on Iranian television to deliver supposed confessions of trespassing.
It's okay when AmeriKa shows hooded Muslims doing the shuffling perp walk, though.
American-Iranian journalist Roxana Saberi was convicted of espionage before being released on an appeal in May. The U.S. State Department has dismissed the spying allegations....
Yeah, I covered that above, didn't I?
The detentions also have put Iraq in an uncomfortable position because it needs to balance the interests of its two main allies, the United States and Iran.
And based on what happened, IRAN is the BETTER FRIEND!
But, noooooooooo, as an AmeriKan news consumer we get s*** like this: Occupation Iraq: Iranian Troublemakers
Pffffffffttt!
The Iraqis felt compelled to raise the issue because the Americans had crossed the border from their territory....
Ha! WE MADE THEM ASK!
Iran and Iraq share an 800 mile border over which there have been long-standing disagreements. The frontier is poorly marked, particularly in the mountainous Kurdish region....
Look at them make EXCUSES and COVER for their little puke spies!

And somehow the Globe got it wrong:
WASHINGTON - The United States has sent strong messages to Iran urging the release of three American hikers who were detained there recently, White House National Security Adviser James Jones said yesterday.
“We have sent strong messages that we would like these three young people released as soon as possible, and also others that they have in their custody as well,’’ Jones told NBC’s “Meet the Press.’’
Oh, he did it on the Sunday propaganda shows.
“These are innocent people....,’’ Jones said.
So are the ones in our black site torture chambers, guy. 9/11 an INSIDE JOB!!!!!!
Iran detained the three Americans over a week ago after they strayed across the border from Iraq, according to an Iraqi Kurdish official. Jones did not elaborate on others in Iranian custody. But in a separate interview, Susan Rice, the US ambassador to the United Nations, mentioned Robert Levinson, an former FBI agent who disappeared in March 2007 during a business trip to Iran’s Kish Island.
Well, WHAT the HELL was a "former" FBI agent doing in Iran, huh?
And REMEMBER THIS GUY?
"It's quite possible that General Asghari, kidnapped by MOSSAD/CIA operatives in December 2006, will be trotted out in early 2008 to be the next "Smoking Gun" the White House war mongers will use to fabricate a case for another ME war, this time against Iran"
Yeah, you NEVER HEAR ABOUT HIM in the Zionist MSM of AmeriKa, do you?
“This [the hikers’ case] is obviously of significant concern to us, as are the cases of other Americans who continue to be held in Iran. Mr. Robert Levinson, a number - a couple of dual nationals who we’re quite concerned about,’’ Rice told CNN’s “State of the Union.’’
I'm sorry; I couldn't care any less about some provocative Jew spies trying to start trouble.
Btw, whatever happened to this guy, huh?
Where are the false-flag teams holding him so they can "spring" him when it is a good moment, 'eh?
