Fearful Friday

Hello, readers.

Gunmen Take 170 Hostage at Hotel in Mali »

That's what greeted me when I arrived later than usual today.

Another false flag? Staged or scripted crisis drills reported as live? Complete fiction? Lastly, real (unlikely; this is a massive psyop mind f*** we are experiencing right now)?

And Mali just happens to be within the French sphere of influence in northern Africa.

"France set to extend state of emergency; Added police powers sought; Threats cited for Vatican, Milan" by William Booth and Souad Mekhenner Washington Post  November 20, 2015

BRUSSELS — Responding to rising threats across Europe, France on Thursday sought to extend a sweeping state of emergency for three months, and Belgium proposed tough new measures to detain and monitor suspects who support jihadist groups.

This stinks. This absolutely stinks of a false flag Gladio-type event with all its agendas now being pushed forth.

The calls for a crackdown came as French prosecutors confirmed Thursday that the accused ringleader of the Nov. 13 terrorist attacks in Paris was killed in a massive pre-dawn police raid Wednesday.

Yeah, dead men tell not tales. Nor do they supply critical and vital intelligence on other plots. Nice going, coppers. I saw on the blogs they flooded the place with 5,000 bullets.

Of course, we know this is all staged and scripted fraud be it a real false flag or a complete fiction.

The death of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a Belgian militant of Moroccan descent, did little to calm European unease about the specter of more attacks. In Italy, officials said the FBI had warned of specific threats in Vatican City and Milan.

OMG!! It's BUCKETFULS of BULLSH** they are hurling around.

RelatedPope’s Africa plans unchanged, but bodyguard does extra check

They are going by the books on that.

In an ominous address — echoing the debate in the US Congress after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks — French Prime Minister Manuel Valls said authorities must imagine that the grimmest threats are possible.

What debate(?), and how much more convincing do you need regarding the inside nature of this event, even if the narrative is taken at face value?

‘‘We know and bear in mind that there is also a risk of chemical or biological weapons,’’ Valls told Parliament during debate on extending the state of emergency.

Why not NUCLEAR? Bye-bye, Eiffel Tower.

The temporary measure was enacted immediately after Friday’s deadly multi-pronged attacks on Paris, which killed at least 129 people and wounded more than 350.

Keep all this in mind for later when we start dealing with terrorist refugees.

Btw, temporary means permanent.

French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve warned that now ‘‘it is necessary to move fast and hard.’’ He said that ‘‘all Europe must work together to defeat terrorism’’ and called for an emergency meeting of the continent’s interior ministers on Friday.

This coming on the heels of the EU breaking apart over banker-imposed austerity and debt and Obummer's war migrants.

Hmmmmm!

Some European leaders seemed prepared to sweep aside cherished traditions that protect rights to privacy and civil liberties.

That seemed important, yeah.

In Belgium, Prime Minister Charles Michel pressed Parliament to pass tough new measures to imprison citizens returning home from fighting in Syria and to broaden law enforcement’s ability to tap phones and detain suspects for three days without charges. He called for shutting down websites that advocate jihad, or Islamic holy war.

The moves came as fears ratcheted up across Europe of more hidden terror cells preparing similar strikes.

Yeah, the agenda-pushing, war-promoting Jewi$h War Pre$$ is dripping with fear -- at least, regarding the oppression and tyranny.

The US State Department issued a travel warning to Americans traveling in Italy, calling those landmarks ‘‘potential targets’’ but also flagging possible threats to ‘‘churches, synagogues, restaurants, theaters and hotels’’ in Rome and Milan.

I wouldn't go anywhere wherever you are, and whatever you do, don't go shopping.

Italy’s foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, told the Italian state television network RAI that the FBI provided information about the five possible suspects.

They are all over this but missed last week, yup.

FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that there is no credible threat to the United States and that investigators have found no links between the Paris attackers and the United States.

How can they not be linked, and why should we believe them? They just missed Paris, missed the Tsarnaevs before they decided to frame them, and on and on.  An attack happens, and then they say we didn't know -- but we know about all these in the pipeline, oops!!

Appearing before reporters alongside Attorney General Loretta Lynch, Comey said he was aware the Islamic State group and its supporters regularly issue propaganda in videos and magazines, boasting about their plans and capabilities.

I call it a newspaper, and it is there very morning.

But, he said, ‘‘that is not credible intelligence.’’

Unless they claim to have bombed a Russian jet with a soda can bomb.

The FBI is closely tracking dozens of people whom agents are concerned could be particularly prone to violence, Comey said. In response to the Paris terror attacks, agents are giving extra scrutiny to individuals who ‘‘might be tempted to be a copycat,’’ but have not seen any evidence of Islamic State supporters dispatched to the United States for the purpose of committing attacks.

How would they know? They never do until after the propaganda event has been presented!

The three-month extension of emergency laws grants the French government powers to conduct stops and searches, ban large gatherings in public places, and put suspected extremists under house arrest.

That's in "free" France.

After approval in the National Assembly, the measure now goes to the French Senate for expected final backing Friday.

In Belgium, those on terrorist watch lists would be forced to wear ankle bracelets to track their movements.

Yeah, well, we will take a ride over to the Worcester Armory later.

Further proposed measures called for the deployment of 300 troops and more leeway in conducting house raids.

Michel also called for stronger border controls — an appeal that highlights wider debates in the European Union about how to reconcile its policies of control-free travel with demands to combat the Islamic State and other militant factions.

Some of the proposed rules would affect ordinary citizens, including mandatory registration of all passengers boarding high-speed trains and planes.

The false flag events on the French trains didn't convince you.

They missed that one, too!!

The European Union planned a meeting Friday to focus on how to stem the traffic in firearms, much of it coming from the formerly conflict-ridden Balkans, and on setting common standards for deactivating old guns.

Oh, this is about DISARMING the POPULATION, too!!

EU officials will also discuss ways to enable border police to check passports against a police database.

Another issue for the European Union is whether to allow security services to have access to passenger lists, as they do in the United States....

I'd be afraid to travel in Europe.

5 Myths Regarding the Paris Terror Attacks

The thought of this woman as the next president is scary:

"Hillary Clinton lays out plan to combat the Islamic State" by Annie Linskey Globe Staff  November 19, 2015

WASHINGTON — Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton called for increasing the number of US special forces on the ground in the Middle East and intensifying bombing runs in the region to combat the Islamic State in the wake of the deadly Paris terror attacks.

The special forces should “embed” with Arab factions willing to fight ISIS on the ground, including the Kurdish armies, and the American trainers currently in Iraq should be “empowered” to do more to help local military take a ground fight directly to the terror group, Clinton said.

I miss Linc Chafee, just when we need him the most.

She also said the US military should have a “broader target set” to bomb, without specifying where else the American bombers should strike.

OMG, she wants to expand the air terror of the AmeriKan empire.

Yeah, the world would be such a better place if women were in charge, right.

Clinton did not say how many additional special forces should be deployed. President Obama recently announced he would add “fewer than 50” elite fighters bolster efforts in Syria.

Speaking at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York City Thursday morning, the former secretary of state offered her most detailed thoughts to date on how the United States should respond to the global threat of terrorism in the wake of a bloody rampage that left 129 dead in France.

So it's still a concern!

Keep in mind all this stuff they are doing to respond to the act when we start discussing acceptance of refugees.

Clinton’s comments were far more forceful and specific than her initial reaction to the bloodbath, which she delivered during the second Democratic debate held roughly 24 hours after the attacks.

There she appeared to waiver on how much of the fight America should shoulder, saying “this cannot be an American fight, although American leadership is essential.”

Speaking Thursday morning, Clinton was clearer: “This is a worldwide fight, and America must lead it,” Clinton said at one point. She added: “This is a time for American leadership.’’

Clinton, however, stopped short of calling for a US invasion to retake the land that ISIS now controls. “Like President Obama, I do not believe that we should again have 100,000 American troops in combat in the Middle East. That is just not the smart move to make here.”

But they are TALKING ABOUT IT, and that is the FIRST STEP towards DOING IT! We saw that with Bush and Iraq! Then when they do it, the pre-conditioned public is full of themselves because "I heard they were gonna do that." (Smug self-righteous look follows)

Instead, she wants local fighters in the region, including Sunni Arabs in Iraq, to rise up and retake land. “Injecting some large contingent of American forces complicates that,” Clinton said.

OMG! Like H.W. encouraged them in 1991, only to be slaughtered!

Yes, it's OKAY TO EXHORT OTHERS to RISE UP and FIGHT in a WAR when YOU AIN'T!!

If you feel that way, then HERE IS YOUR RIFLE, HERE IS YOUR PARACHUTE, HERE IS YOUR DAY-GLO ORANGE JUMPSUIT!! I'll call Iraq and tell them you are on your way!!

Btw, WHO DOES SHE THINK ISIS is?

She wants them to TAKE BACK LAND they have ALREADY CAPTURED?

Republicans moved swiftly to criticize Clinton, who played a key role as Obama’s secretary of state while ISIS rose.

“Rather than putting forward a new plan to defeat ISIS, Hillary Clinton offered soaring platitudes and largely doubled down on the existing Obama strategy,” said Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus in a statement shortly after the speech concluded.

Clinton also called for a broader coalition of nations to focus solely on ISIS, which she prioritized as the top terror threat in the world. She called on the United Nations to update rules aimed at choking off finances to the terror group, and asked that other Arab allies including Saudi Arabia do more to prevent their citizens from funding extreme groups.

Saudi is one of the Islamist movements funders and providers of manpower.

This is such garbage war propaganda it has reached the level of disgusting.

She also demanded that US technology companies more swiftly shut down the social media accounts that ISIS fighters and their sympathizers use to communicate and recruit.

Yup, gotta shut down the web because of people that question the official regarding anything and everything. All "terrorists."

Clinton also tried to counter some of the anti-Islamic rhetoric coming from the leading Republican presidential candidates — some of whom have said that the United States should only accept Christian refugees fleeing Syria following the attacks.

They run this propaganda, false-flag Gladio crap by you and then turn the whole thing around.

More than half the governors, including those from Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, have opposed bringing in new Syrian refugees.

“We cannot allow terrorists to intimidate us into abandoning our values and our humanitarian obligations,” Clinton said.

It's HER WARS in SYRIA, LIBYA , and beyond, that are ACCOUNTING for those obligations! They are NOT MINE, nor are YOUR MURDEROUS WARS causing such things!!

“Turning away orphans, applying a religious test, discriminating against Muslims, slamming the door on every Syrian refugee — that is just not who we are. We are better than that.”

Whose we?

That was not in print, I got this instead:

The House of Reprsentatives on Thursday voted 289-137 to approve legislation that would make it more difficult for the United States to accept refugees from Syria and Iraq, more than enough to override a threatened presidential veto. The Senate is expected to take up the measure after Thanksgiving. Obama has said he wants to allow 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year.

And that has been completely scrubbed from the web.

"Obama douses optimism on Kremlin joint terrorism fight" by Angela Greiling Keane, Toluse Olorunnipa and Bloomberg

MANILA, Philippines - President Barack Obama moved to dent Russia's optimism that a deal is near with the United States and France to coordinate the fight against Islamic State.

Oh, the GREAT PEACE PRIZE-WINNING WAR CRIMINAL is BLOCKING PEACE in favor of REGIME CHANGE!

I don't think they were very optimistic anyway. They, like the rest of the world, knows it is the EUSraeli Empire, their intelligence agencies, and their Arab lackeys that are behind ISIS.

Speaking to reporters in Manila on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, Obama questioned Russia's approach to the crisis in Syria and President Vladimir Putin's allegiance to President Bashar Assad.

If you see his head rolling around....

The U.S., Russia and France have taken different tacks on addressing the rise of Islamic State in Syria and how to restore peace in the war-torn country.

It's a quest.

"In order for this to be successful, at some point the Russians and the Iranians are going to have to make a fundamental decision," Obama said. "Do they actually believe that they can prop up Assad and win on the ground militarily inside of Syria against all of the opposition? Or do they think it is actually better to save the Syrian state?"

First of all, they are winning, you delusional f***.

Secondly, he just admitted the "terrorists" are part of the opposition.

"They're directed at propping up the Assad regime," Obama said of Russian airstrikes in Syria. "They will have to make a fundamental shift, I believe, in policy."

Of course, when the U.S. props up client regimes, that's okay. What he is saying there is Russia better get with the neo-con Zio-con war plan!

With his remarks, the president cooled a Kremlin hope articulated earlier Thursday that an alliance could be announced as early as next week between Russia, France and the U.S. The approach as described by two Russian officials would effectively include Assad's forces. Obama has called for Assad to leave the presidency and be replaced in an election.

What an ARROGANT A**HOLE!

HE WILL DECIDE WHOM SYRIANS will be able to ELECT!!

Obama has said the only way the U.S. would coordinate with Russia against Islamic State is if there's evidence Russia's strikes in Syria are targeting jihadists rather than opponents of Assad. Speaking on Thursday, he said so far Russian strikes have not been focused on Islamic State.

Liar!

"What we are doing with our coalition members is recognizing that it may take some months for the Russians, the Iranians and frankly some of the members of the Syrian government and dueling elites in the regime to recognize the truth that I just articulated."

OMG! The WAR CRIMINAL is now the SPEAKER of TRUTH!

He is showing not just arrogant delusion and insanity, but TENDENCIES of an ANTI-CHRIST!

Obama had said Wednesday he thought the bombing of a Russian passenger jet over the Sinai Peninsula -- something Islamic State has taken responsibility for -- may lead Russia to change course in Syria.

Thus confirming that event as an act of terrorism by EUSrael and it's proxy mercenaries and Islamist front groups.

But Russia didn't get the point, huh?

The president spoke after a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at the APEC summit. Putin didn't attend, sending Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in his place. Obama and Putin spoke earlier this week at the Group of 20 summit in Turkey.

Where he got TESTY!

Obama said it would not be enough to have formal political processes that allow Assad to preserve power. "It's because it is unimaginable that you can stop the civil war there when the overwhelming majority of people in Syria consider him to be a brutal, murderous dictator," he said. "He cannot regain legitimacy."

OMG! Neither can this delusional and insane war criminal.

All about regime change, always was, despite the pos pre$$!!

French President Francois Hollande will visit Washington on Nov. 24 for talks with Obama before meeting Putin two days later in Moscow. The diplomatic flurry comes after Friday's attacks by Islamic State in Paris that killed at least 129 people.

Which means THOSE WERE SCHEDULED LONG BEFORE last WEEK! This WHOLE PARIS THIONG is a BIG PRE-PLANNED AGENDA PUSH!

France has already been part of a U.S.-led coalition conducting airstrikes against Islamic State targets for more than a year. The day before the killings in Paris, Obama said in an interview with ABC's "This Week" that Islamic State had been "contained" geographically since the campaign began.

Look, we all know it is shit coming out his mouth.

Speaking at a briefing in Manila, U.S. Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes said the U.S. and France had the same interests with respect to Russia -- to see it attack Islamic State, not moderate groups opposed to Assad.

There are no moderates. That's what they are calling the terrorist the U.S. has helped create, fund, and direct!

"The most important thing that Russia can do is to use its unique relationship with the Assad regime" in order to ensure he leaves power, Rhodes said.

Speaking after his meeting with Obama, Trudeau said Canada would stay a strong member of the coalition against Islamic State, including militarily, but said he wouldn't change his mind about pulling Canada's modest contingent of six CF-18 fighter jets from the battle.

"I made a clear commitment to Canadians to withdraw the six fighter jets and we will be doing that," he said.

Symbolic shit that didn't make print! Terror means Trudeau stays.

--more--"

And who is organizing the "moderates?"

"Saudi Arabia will host a conference in mid-December to try to unite the Syrian opposition ahead of new peace talks, a key issue in stepped up efforts to end the nearly five-year civil war, the country’s UN ambassador said Thursday. Saudi Ambassador Abdallah Al-Moualimi said his country will be trying to bring different strands of the opposition ‘‘together for a united voice.’’ Last Saturday, foreign ministers from about 20 nations agreed in Vienna to an ambitious yet incomplete plan that sets a Jan. 1 deadline for the start of negotiations between Syrian President Bashar Assad’s government and opposition groups. Within six months, the negotiations are to establish a ‘‘credible, inclusive, and nonsectarian’’ transitional government that would set a schedule for drafting a new constitution and holding a free and fair United Nations-supervised election within 18 months. The war in Syria has killed more than 250,000 people and left 11 million uprooted from their homes."

Kind of scary, huh?

Now about those terrorist refugees:

"House votes to tighten restrictions on refugees" by Jennifer Steinhauer and Michael D. Shear New York Times  November 19, 2015

WASHINGTON — The House voted overwhelmingly Thursday to drastically tighten screening procedures on refugees from Syria, seizing on the creeping fear stemming from the Paris attacks and threatening to undermine President Obama’s Middle East policy.

Who is SEIZING on CREEPING FEAR, NYT!!??

Talk about the war-promoting pre$$ leader kettle calling others pot!!!

The bill, which passed, 289-137, with nearly 50 Democrats supporting it, would require that the director of the FBI, the secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, and the director of national intelligence confirm that each applicant from Syria and Iraq poses no threat. The bill’s fate is uncertain in the Senate.

Look at the bipartisanship! Should be celebrated, right?

The White House called the demands untenable and said that the president would veto the bill if it reaches his desk.

Go ahead. Did you see the vote total?

Strange how the NYT isn't mentioning the potential for an override, as if what the dictator says goes!

The sweeping majority of the House vote was a rejection of Obama’s moral appeal on the issue and the most vivid manifestation of the rapidly shifting politics within the United States, where Americans are at once war-weary yet also frightened by the threats made by the Islamic State.

I'm not the second. I'm not fooled and am angry about the sh**-shoveled stream of endless war propaganda from the pre$$.

More than two dozen governors, including one Democrat, have said they would try to block Syrian refugees from entering their state, and a recent Bloomberg News poll shows more than half of the nation agrees with them.

Oh, the people agree.

The House action also served as another blow to Obama on an area that has repeatedly bedeviled him over the last two years of his presidency — how to articulate and put in place a policy in Syria, where there are no clear paths or partners to end the conflict.

You will find no sympathy for that war-criminal scum here, NYT.

The fact that lawmakers in both parties have refused Obama’s request for an explicit authorization of force against the Islamic State, even as they vote to curb refugees, further highlights the vexing politics in the era of terror.

And “people are very nervous, very worried” in the ERA of TERROR!

How about THAT NARRATIVE from the LEAD LIAR into IRAQ!!??

Of course, the PEOPLE of the WORLD have been TERRORIZED by AmeriKa for OVER 50 YEARS NOW, and that is not including the holocaust of the native population and all the other wars that have gone before!

Representative William Keating of Bourne said the United States has little on-the-ground intelligence in Syria, underscoring the need to be careful when determining who from there can enter this country.

How can that be with our mercenary militias and soldiers on the ground?

I mean, COME ON!!!!!!!! They had enough to send troops in on a rescue raid a few months back!

In an e-mailed statement to the Globe, Representative Seth Moulton of Salem, who voted against the bill, said “shutting the door on Syrian refugees who are fleeing the very terrorists we’re fighting is inconsistent with our values and will not help us defeat ISIS.”

Fleeing the very terrorists we are funding, too. Get a clue, Seth!

“I fully support increasing the security and effectiveness of the refugee program, but the bill on the floor today was not a serious effort to do so,” Moulton said. “It was a counterproductive measure that would add needless red tape to an already strong process.”

If it keeps 'em out. Can't take any chances given the alleged incompetence of government.

Obama even tried, without success, to persuade members of Congress on the issue during his trip to Asia by sending Twitter messages.

PFFFFFFFT!

In a half-dozen tweets to his 5.1 million followers early Thursday morning, the president repeated his promise to “provide refuge to at least 10,000 refugees fleeing violence in Syria” after passing “the highest” security checks.

How many of them are NSA fakes?

“Slamming the door in the face of refugees would betray our deepest values,” the president tweeted in defiance of the congressional action. “That’s not who we are. And it’s not what we’re going to do.”

Speak for yourself, and I know that is not what the dictator will do. Like with the Central American kids, he will dump them in your town and city in the middle of the night.

Late Thursday, Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican of Kentucky, the majority leader, made a procedural move that would allow the Senate to take up the measure right after the Thanksgiving recess.

But its fate in that chamber is far from certain. On Thursday, Senator Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, vowed that Senate Democrats would serve as the administration’s firewall.

“Don’t worry, it won’t get passed,” he snapped.

!!!!!!

They filibuster that of all things?

Well, the next time a terror event occurs in the United States the blame will fall squarely upon Democraps then.

Thanks, Harry!

Obama continued to emphasize that refugees were subjected to “the most rigorous vetting process that we have for anybody who is admitted.” He said the process of screening a potential refugee took up to two years and includes background checks by the national counterterrorism center, the FBI, and the Defense Department.

Yeah, that makes me feel safe after they miss so much!

“That somehow they pose a more significant threat than all the tourists who pour into the United States every single day just doesn’t jibe with reality,” he said.

OMG, he IS INSANE!!!!

"He is afraid that the growing political backlash against Syrians following the terrorist attacks in Paris will prevent his mother and three brothers from joining him in a city where he has felt at peace."

They look like CIA assets or crisis actors to me, right down to the sly little smile, and “whoever condemned the attacks in France needs to condemn the attacks in Israel.”

So when are we going to see stories of generations of Palestinian refugees on the front page of my Jewish War Paper?

Posing as refugee isn’t easiest way into US, experts say; Immigration system has gaps terrorists can use

Like a CIA waver that they gave to the blind sheik Rahman, the inspiration for the first WTC false flag (FBI gave the go ahead).

"South Bend, Mass.? A Notre Dame invasion" by Dugan Arnett Globe Staff  November 19, 2015

When the Notre Dame football team arrives this week for its unconventional Saturday night matchup with Boston College at Fenway Park, it will mean more than just a few busloads of players are rolling into town.

The team will also bring as many as 30,000 members of its notoriously passionate fan base.

And appropriate levels of security, right?

With the weekend’s meeting officially designated as a Notre Dame home game — and with the vast majority of available tickets going to the Fighting Irish — Boston residents should be prepared for a very noticeable influx of blue-, green-, and gold-clad visitors.

As Katherine J. Igoe, vice president of Notre Dame’s local alumni contingent, put it recently, “The Irish are taking over Boston.”

At least it is not ISIS.

It’s not hyperbole.

Probably the only thing that isn't in the paper these days.

The Shamrock Series — an annual arrangement in which the Fighting Irish elect to play one home game per season at a neutral location — operates as a full-fledged civic infiltration, a kind of wide-ranging roadshow designed, essentially, to re-create South Bend, Ind., in whichever city the team happens to be playing.

This year, that means that students, faculty, a pregame Catholic Mass, and a satellite university bookstore are all headed to the Hub — for days now, a large billboard near Fenway Park has been touting Notre Dame’s arrival. At Target’s Fenway location, a special section near the entrance is devoted to Fighting Irish and Shamrock Series merchandise. And while Fenway-area bars aren’t exactly strangers to big crowds, even they have been scrambling to make accommodations for what is expected to be a daunting number of visitors.

“Usually Marathon Monday is our biggest day of the year,” says Casey Ridge, event coordinator at Game On Fenway, which will be hosting a 600-person Notre Dame event on Friday evening. “They’re saying it’s going to be bigger than that.”

Oh.

While the centerpiece of the weekend will be Saturday’s game, which pits the Eagles (3-7) against a 9-1 Fighting Irish team battling for one of four spots in the College Football Playoff, it’s the festivities surrounding it that will make the weekend a novelty.

Didn't the terrorists on Paris attack a soccer game?

Among the various events scheduled are Notre Dame-affiliated academic discussions, community service projects, and pep rallies.

Things kicked off Thursday with a Boston Massacre “retrial” at the Old South Meeting House, in which representatives from the law schools at Notre Dame and Boston College held closing arguments in a modern-day reenactment of the Boston Massacre trial.

It might be.

On Friday night, the university’s band will hold a drummers’ circle at Copley Square, and the following morning will bring the Shamrock Series 5K at Boston Common and Notre Dame Mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, followed by the Shamrock Series Fan Fest, a full-fledged tailgate held at the Brookline Avenue parking lot near Yawkey Way.

“It’s an opportunity for us to use the athletic program to showcase the other important components of the University of Notre Dame,” says Dennis Brown, a university spokesman.

As for Boston College, which will have the unusual distinction of playing a road game less than 4 miles from its own stadium?

“Strange? Perhaps,” says BC director of athletics Brad Bates.

What I'm finding strange is no concerns about terror after what happened in Paris last weekend.

The idea for the Shamrock Series traces back, appropriately enough, to Knute Rockne, the legendary Notre Dame football coach who between 1918 and 1930 led the program to five undefeated seasons and three national championships.

Who gives a f***?

Back in the 1920s, Brown explains, Rockne developed a reputation for being willing to take his team across the country to face any team, any time. Taking on Army, Yale, and USC brought exposure to a still-emerging program. Even the team name back then, the Ramblers, was a nod to how the program “rambled” all over the country playing football games.

And it worked, as Rockne’s program played a vital role in helping turn a small, relatively unknown Catholic university in the Midwest into a nationally recognized institution.

Now, nearly a century later, school officials are pulling a page out of the old coach’s playbook in taking Notre Dame on the road.

From a marketing standpoint, it’s a boon for the university, which each year gets to inject its brand into a market that might not otherwise be exposed to it. Since holding its first Shamrock Series game in San Antonio in 2009, the team has taken its roadshow to New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Indianapolis.

And despite a little awkwardness for the school that’s actually located here — Boston College received an allotment of only 5,400 of the roughly 37,000 tickets for Saturday’s game — the arrival of thousands of people should pump significant business into Boston.

“It’s a great time of year for Boston to get an injection of spending impact,” says David O’Donnell of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau.

As for the, uh, polarizing nature of Notre Dame’s fan base?

"Mass. AG proposes age limit for daily fantasy sports; Regulations come amid scrutiny over company" by Dan Adams and Curt Woodward Globe Correspondent and Globe Staff  November 19, 2015

Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey Thursday proposed rules for daily fantasy sports businesses that would ban players younger than 21, seek to prevent sophisticated contestants from dominating games, prohibit contests on college sports, and force the companies to change their advertising practices.

The proposed regulations would make Massachusetts the first state to establish specific conditions that would allow the daily fantasy sports business to operate, in sharp contrast to New York, where that state’s attorney general is trying to block his residents from playing because he insists the companies are running illegal gambling operations.

Healey has said Massachusetts law doesn’t explicitly address the legality of the games. Nonetheless, she said, they need a set of clear rules and limitations to ensure the newly emerging industry is run fairly....

I don't think I want to field a team this weekend. It isn't safe.
