Final Test

For it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ball game:

"From coast to coast, Black sports figures stood together Thursday in unprecedented numbers to express rage and sorrow and to plead for progress in the nation’s bloody reckoning with racial injustice. Their protests interrupted the professional basketball, hockey, baseball, and soccer seasons but stopped short of ending them entirely. In a series of rapid developments unlike any other in the history of American sports, athletes of all colors and ethnicities were turning away from their vocations, boycotting their games, and touching off tremors throughout their multibillion-dollar industries amid COVID-19-shortened seasons....."

For some reason, the article comes with an Alibaba ad (isn't that the Chinese eBay?), and you can all say goodbye to your careers as well as the lucrative contracts in the future you would like to $ee. I really couldn't care any less about sports these days. I feel sorry for the kids who have had the ladder yanked from them, but not the overpriced and pampered athletes with the media platform. They don't see the hypocrisy of the optics when most of their fans are now unemployed?

"Despite the ongoing pandemic, a new flare of police violence that spurred more civil unrest, and a Category 4 hurricane, Republicans worked to project an image of a president firmly in control of what they portrayed as a largely coronavirus-free country on the rise. More than 1,000 supporters packed the White House grounds on Thursday evening to watch his speech, with few masks in sight, in a spectacle that flouted social distancing guidelines....."

Oddly enough, that article brought up an advertisement for the infernal masks, while the Wa$hington Compo$t says the GOP convention spins an alternate reality with torrent of falsehoods aimed at rebooting Trump’s flagging campaign -- when his approval rating has never been higher! Their self-delusion is sad as they flog a discredited agenda.

As for the flip side, that's no better. I stayed up past my bedtime waiting to see what Ingraham & Co had to say about his acceptance speech, and every time I checked back he was still talking! When he finally finished, she was on with Ari Fleischer(!) so I said that's it. As noted before, Fox is part of the fraud for they don't dig deep and generally accept the COVID cover story and the argument that the RNC was optimistic and about freedom and getting the economy moving, that was all shallow imagery and illusion that doesn't address the underlying issues and the hell that is being planned for us all. It's the flip side of the same coin.

"A new study quantifies COVID-19′s disproportionate toll on Black and Latino communities in Massachusetts for the first time, and explores the extent to which other demographic factors — including foreign-born noncitizen status, average household size, and the role of the essential worker — explain racial and ethnic gaps. Similar patterns have played out nationally. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported last week that COVID-19 infection rates are 2.8 times higher in the Hispanic or Latino and American Indian or Alaska Native populations, when compared to the rate for non-Hisanpic white people....."

Is there anyone who believes anything that comes out of that group of criminals, as Dr. Betancourt, vice president and chief equity and inclusion officer of Massachusetts General Hospital, says the self-serving and narrative-reinforcing “study absolutely confirms and demonstrates what we saw,” and does drinking have anything to do with it?

"Video of police killing a man following a high-speed chase that began outside Brigham and Women’s Hospital in February appears to contradict a key aspect of a district attorney’s report that found the shooting was justified. In his March ruling that police had been justified in the fatal shooting of Juston Root, Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey wrote that in the moments immediately preceding the shooting near a Chestnut Hill shopping area, multiple officers shouted that they saw Root with a gun before they opened fire. “More than one officer yelled ’gun,’ ” Morrissey wrote in his seven-page report. “Simultaneously, six officers opened fire to stop the threat,” but police body cam footage released Wednesday, following a records request by the Globe, does not appear to show any of the six officers describing a gun in the moments before police fired their weapons....."

Kid was white, so only the parents care.

Note that there isn't any outrage at the fact that the authorities at all levels flat out lied, as they always do, in an attempted cover-up.

:(

Ping, delete.

The Globe is of the opinion that the two dueling Democratic stars of the Bay State will settle it on the battle ground while saying Trump must resign now because he has proved himself unfit to serve and has undermined American democracy and it is about time voters pick a Black woman (I wonder if she is still delivering papers or part of the union).

The Globe's point seems to be that it leads to questions about his progressive bona fides a week after they had none as they extolled the historic nature of Harris's VP nomination.

Oh, one other thing, Globe has endorsed Markey and now says he is up 10 in the polls, but I'm sure the endorsement has nothing to do with the agenda-pushing propaganda, 'er, coverage.

"Mass. stays course on testing, despite shift in federal guidelines; Local public health experts join the chorus of outrage over change by the CDC, calling it unwarranted and dangerous" by Felice J. Freyer and Travis Andersen Globe Staff, August 27, 2020

Massachusetts continues to recommend testing for asymptomatic people who come in contact with someone infected with the coronavirus, despite new federal guidelines saying such tests are unnecessary, a spokesman for the command center overseeing the state’s COVID-19 response said Thursday.

Meanwhile, Boston-area public health experts joined their peers around the country in decrying as “harmful” and “awful” the new COVID-19 testing guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

In an abrupt shift, the CDC this week revised its guidelines to say that people don’t need tests when they’ve had contact with an infected person but don’t have symptoms themselves. Previously, the CDC had recommended that such people get tested, amid strong evidence that many get infected and spread the virus without ever feeling ill.

That there is one reason why this is the final test.

The outright nonsense and lies are so over-the-top right now that this has become a completely useless endeavor.

Yeah, you spreading it even if you aren't sick say the medical fascists, and they want to test, test, test with their faulty, dangerous, and infectious kits or whatever!

On Thursday, CDC Director Robert Redfield tried to soften the guidelines’ effect by saying testing “may be considered” for asymptomatic people who have had contact with confirmed or probable cases, according to STAT, but Redfield did not retract the new guidelines, which advise people who have been in close contact with an infected person.

Dr. Ashish K. Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, said Thursday that the change is inexplicable, because the science on coronavirus transmission has not changed. “Basically, there is no good reason to have made this change,” Jha said. “It’s clearly going to be harmful.” The new guidelines, he said, will likely “accelerate the number of new infections.”

Jha speculated that the Trump administration might be responding to the strain on the nation’s testing capacity, but if government officials believe they need to ration limited testing supplies, he said, they should just “level with the American people.”

It's liars like you who have been at the forefront of this fraud that have to level with us!

The recent politicization of the CDC has tarnished its longstanding image as a reliable source of objective public health guidance, forcing the public to try to figure out which guidelines are based on science and which on politics, Jha said. “It’s a whole new world, and I don’t think the American people are being served well,” he said.

Not yet, but they are trying!

Eleanor J. Murray, an assistant professor of epidemiology at Boston University, strongly criticized the new guidelines Wednesday via Twitter. “This is 100% completely absolutely awful. If the CDC’s recommendations can be changed for political reasons, then we cannot rely on them to keep us safe,” Murray tweeted, “and if we can’t rely on the CDC, then who do we have left???”

That tweet made me laugh since they have been unreliable since at least 1976 and probably long before. I think the Rockefeller's purchased health care about 100 years ago with their Foundation.

Dr. Michael Mina, an assistant professor of epidemiology at Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public Health, also took to social media to voice opposition to the changes. “At what point does society rise up?” Mina tweeted in response to a CNN story about the new guidelines. “We have a Trump administration apparently placing politics and image over American lives. At every turn, the administration has afforded #COVID19 every opportunity to spread further. This is a national travesty and should be called out as such.”

Great question!

When will they rise up against this genocidal globalist tyranny box which he is a part?

Just remember that everything these guys say is a projection of what they are!

The governors of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, California, Kentucky, and Washington — all Democrats — have denounced the CDC’s move, using words like “reckless” and “indefensible.” Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker, a Republican, did not comment beyond issuing the command center’s assurance that state policy would probably not change.

Yeah, it is the Democrat governors, King Charles included, that have been playing politics. Blood and destruction because of one man!

What was reckless was stuffing sick COVID patients into the nursing homes!

On Wednesday, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the country’s top infectious disease expert, said he wasn’t part of the discussion that green-lighted the change. Fauci told CNN he was undergoing surgery when the new guidance was discussed last week, adding he was “worried it will give people the incorrect assumption that asymptomatic spread is not of great concern. In fact it is.”

The slime keeps pouring from the pages!

An array of medical organizations issued statements Wednesday and Thursday opposing the change.....

It's a jobs program, after all!

"The World Health Organization said Thursday that countries should actively test people to find coronavirus cases even if they don’t show symptoms — a stance that comes after the U.S. health agency switched its policy to say that asymptomatic contacts of infected people don’t need to be tested. Maria Van Kerkhove, WHO’s technical lead for COVID-19, said when officials are investigating clusters of COVID-19, “testing may need to be expanded to look for individuals who are on the more mild end of the spectrum or who may indeed be asymptomatic,” yet new guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it’s not necessary for people who have been in close contact with infected people but who don’t feel sick to get tested. The agency had previously advised local health officials to test people who'd been within about 6 feet of an infected person for over 15 minutes. Van Kerkhove said countries were free to adapt WHO's testing guidance for their individual needs and while testing itself was important, it was equally critical to get testing results back fast. She also expressed concerns about public behavior, saying she’s growing “a little bit concerned” that the use of masks is leading some people to think they don’t need to keep safe distances from others. Earlier Thursday, the WHO's chief for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge, warned that the coronavirus is a “tornado with a long tail” and said rising infections among young people could spread to more vulnerable older people and cause an uptick in deaths. He said younger people are more likely to come into closer contact with the elderly as the weather cools across the continent and families move activities inside....."

They are literally making this stuff up as they go along.

It's what evil, agenda-pushing liars do, and let me ask you something, readers of the world?

HOW OFTEN are you coming into CONTACT within 6 feet of someone for 15 minutes when out shopping or anything else?

Okay, you are standing there in the aisle looking.... cat food, say. How long is that other person next to you? Two minutes tops?

They do themselves in with their own words because what a deadly web you weave when you practice to deceive! They can't keep the lies straight while trying to insert and juggle truth!

Then, instead of "coming clean," they cling to their absurd narrative and up the ante:

"Public health experts are reevaluating guidelines for safe social distancing amid growing evidence that the novel coronavirus can travel farther than six feet under certain conditions. A team of infectious-disease experts argues in a new analysis, published this week in the BMJ, that six-feet protocols are too rigid and are based on outmoded science and observations of different viruses. Other researchers say six feet is a start — but only a start, warning that more space is almost always better, especially in poorly ventilated areas indoors. Factors such as air circulation, ventilation, exposure time, crowd density, whether people are wearing face masks and whether they are silent, speaking, shouting or singing should all be part of assessing whether six feet is sufficient, experts say."

The truth is the EXACT OPPOSITE is the case as far as travel as they want to separate us further despite the real science, and some monster in the New York Times is calling for all those 6 months and older to get a flu shot this fall.

Better get your mask on:

Delta Has Put 240 People on 'No Fly List' for Not Wearing Masks

You thought those were only for terrorists?

"The virus is actively circulating in about 20% of France’s regions and masks will now be required for everyone in Paris starting Friday — but the government is determined to reopen schools next week, get workers back on the job and kick off the Tour de France cycling race on Saturday. France is now seeing more than 50 positive tests per 100,000 people in Paris, Marseille and other areas....."

1 in 2,000 are positive cases, not deaths, so why the mask up?

"Most of Germany will impose a minimum fine of 50 euros ($59) for breaching mask-wearing rules as coronavirus infections rise again, Chancellor Angela Merkel said Thursday after a virtual meeting with the country's state governors. Officials also agreed to extend a ban on big events where social distancing and contact tracing can’t be ensured until the end of December. Merkel said all except the eastern state of Saxony-Anhalt agreed on the minimum fine. The chancellor also appealed to Germans not to travel to countries and regions deemed “risk areas” — currently the United States and most of the world outside the European Union, as well as some regions inside the EU. “Wherever it is possible” Germans should stay at home, she said....."

Well, that certainly isn't for the German people as it should bring up dark shades of their past, right?

"Reports of Syrian health care facilities filling up and increasing death notices and burials appear to indicate that actual coronavirus cases in the war-torn country “far exceed official figures” confirmed by the government, a senior U.N. humanitarian official said Thursday. Syria has so far reported more than 2,500 cases of COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus, including 100 deaths; however, U.N. Assistant Secretary-General for humanitarian affairs Ramesh Rajasingham told the U.N. Security Council that “rising patient numbers are adding pressure to the fragile health system” in Syria, now in its 10th year of war. Many people “are reluctant to seek care at medical facilities, leading to more severe complications when they do arrive,” he said....."

That's epidemic everywhere now, and it was the U.N. that brought the virus in with them.

At least the teledoc is in (why are they not wearing masks, and why is everything Trump's fault with them?), and what if ‘herd immunity’ is closer than the $cienti$ts thought?

It is more convenient during Covid-19, but it’s also a magnet for fraud and theft as doctors miss things in the testing ground for telemedicine’s potential with new hospital rankings as the staff works from home and still gets paid despite the loss of billions in revenue. The conference with Humana was quick thanks to telemedicine provider Teladoc, and Blue Cross is planning to return $101 million to customers. That should give her a boo$t anyway as you wait for your test to return from the lab in Africa.

Meanwhile, I'm told the virus is surging in several Midwestern states and Florida as testing resumes after the storm.

"Two authoritative religious bodies on Thursday called on Christians to band together to fight “sins” laid bare or aggravated by the pandemic, including racism and economic injustice. The Vatican and the World Council of Churches, which is based in Switzerland, issued a joint document noting that the COVID-19 outbreak has drawn attention to “the scandalous gap between the rich and the poor.” The document declared that Christians are compelled to work to heal inequalities, including between men and women. Christians must “own up to our own complicity and guilt in many systems of oppression” and resist the “temptation” to blame the poor for their poverty, it said. The World Council of Churches brings together churches, denominations and church fellowships in more than 110 countries and territories, representing more than a half-billion Christians....."

They have become Satan's acolytes, and when do they dispense the wine?

"A poll of 14 developed nations found majorities in most countries were pleased with how their governments have handled the coronavirus pandemic. More than 9 out of 10 respondents in Australia and Denmark said their countries have done a good job, but in two countries, a majority thought otherwise: the United States and Britain....."

Like I said before, the WaCompo is so over-the-top these days it isn't even funny!

They say "some governments have placed heavy importance on national unity during the pandemic, while many world leaders have seen their approval ratings rise during the pandemic -- such as Australia's Scott Morrison, who was languishing in polls at the start of the year but saw his approval soar during the early stages of the virus's spread, and they have stayed high since while approval ratings have dropped for leaders seen to have handled the virus poorly."

Australia is under the most severe tyranny and lockdown right now, and yet the shameless $hits  at the WaCompo are saying they are among the most popular leaders! Insane!

The countries cited as a problem are also enlightening as well, as those leaders are the ones most-likely dragging their feet.

Now that the test is over, let's get this party started:

"Encore received COVID-19 warning after big hotel party, but gaming officials say the casino has made changes aimed at preventing such an incident from happening again" by Andy Rosen Globe Staff, August 27, 2020

The Massachusetts Gaming Commission said Thursday that it had sent Encore Boston Harbor a notice of noncompliance with state COVID-19 standards after a large party in one of the Everett casino’s hotel suites had to be broken up by police.

The regulatory body sent the notice on Aug. 20, four days after the party that authorities said drew more than 100 people. The state limits indoor gatherings to 8 people per 1,000 square feet, or a maximum of 25. Commission staff added that Encore had responded quickly and had made changes intended to make sure such an incident does not happen again.

Pour out into the street in protest, though, as long as the cause is approved by the same tyrants limiting these activities!

Time for you all to form Speak Easies like during the age of Prohibition, and keep things quiet!

Commission Chairwoman Cathy Judd-Stein emphasized that the regulatory body’s jurisdiction extends beyond the gaming floor and into other aspects of casinos’ business — including hotels. She said Encore and other facilities must adhere to the strict limits put in place as a condition of reopening after a four-month closure spurred by the pandemic.

“The stakes are too high for anything but full compliance with those safety standards,” Judd-Stein said during a commission meeting held via teleconference Thursday.

I'll bet they are regretting opening in Ma$$achu$etts.

State Police officers, who broke up the party, said a 23-year-old Dracut man faces a criminal summons for allegedly disturbing the peace. He also could be fined $500 for violations of state COVID-19 rules.

According to gaming commission staff, the host of the party rented the room on Aug. 15, received three key cards, and then began bringing people up in small groups. Around midnight, someone called hotel management to report that they saw posts on social media showing a party attended by about 100 people.

Please, kids, stay off the social media!

All phones off!

Soon after, a butler at Encore reported that he had made a delivery to the suite and saw that it was over capacity, commission staff said, and management called the room to order the host to clear out his guests. The commission said 36 people left at that time, but the party continued. Someone else then called management, threatening to alert the board of health.

Damn snitch!

How come they never snitch on the rich or pettos?

At about 3 a.m. on Aug. 16, Encore security alerted State Police. At that time, the police said, there were still about 110 people partying, “including a DJ and adult dancers,” plus “a large amount of alcohol.”

Commission member Gayle Cameron said during the meeting that it is clear that Encore needed stronger standards.

“This is much more serious than a guest being disturbed by noise, and certainly whatever measures they had before were not effective enough,” she said.

State regulators monitoring the casino told the commission Encore management made significant efforts to shore up safety following the party.

Bruce Band, assistant director of investigations and enforcement, noted that several people had canceled their reservations at the front desk when they were told of the strict rules on gatherings. Encore has also broken up several smaller gatherings that did not violate state standards but were above the casino’s own limits.

“Encore seems to be holding fast to their new rules and really sticking to their guns about what they’re trying to get their guests to abide by them,” Band said. “I was impressed, because that’s not easy to do with your loyal guests.”

I didn't see any mention of a fine when it comes to the casino, did you?

Must be too big.

"Milford resident hosts large gathering in violation of COVID-19 guidelines and is fined $1,500" by John R. Ellement Globe Staff, August 27, 2020

A Milford homeowner was fined $1,500 by the town for hosting hundreds of people who did not wear masks or practice social distancing last Saturday, an event described by the homeowner as a fund-raiser for a cancer patient, but decried by the town’s public health director as a possible COVID-19 spreader event.

You thought your local tyrant had a heart?

Luis Loja Caguana, who organized the fund-raiser at the home he owns at 21 Franklin St. in the Worcester County town last Saturday, was fined for three violations of the public health safety guidelines set up by the Baker administration, according to Jacquelyn Murphy, the town’s public health director. He was fined $500 for violating a mandatory mask rule, $500 for having more than 50 people in one place, and $500 for not complying with the 6-foot social distancing rule, she said.

“This spring, Milford had one of the highest incidence of COVID. We’ve been working really hard to get our numbers down,’' Murphy said in a telephone interview Thursday, “but when you host a 200-person party in the context of a pandemic, you are working against the broader goals in the ccommunity.”

Murphy said that in the spring, the town reported 200 COVID cases in one week, but managed to drop the number to just 15 in the latest reporting period. She fears that now, there is the potential for the infection rate to increase from last Saturday’s event.

“Large gatherings of this kind create opportunities for COVID to spread very quickly,” she said. “A lot of people in town are excited about the fact that people are getting punished. I would much rather not give out fines. I would much rather people would follow the rules because the rules are put in place to protect everyone.”

If those gatherings bring violence in the city they are okay, though, and these tin-pot totalitarians are starting to really sicken me.

People are excited as their fellow citizens are being punished! It certainly is a "People's Republic" up here!

Of course, the fines replace the lost tax loot due to their destruction of business and the economy so that they can continue to live privileged lives at citizen expense.

"Laura thrashes Louisiana, nearby states face tornado threats" by Melinda Deslatte, Stacey Plaisance and Gerald Herbert, Aug. 27, 2020

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) — One of the strongest hurricanes ever to strike the U.S., Laura barreled across Louisiana on Thursday, shearing off roofs and killing at least six people while carving a destructive path hundreds of miles inland.

A full assessment of the damage wrought by the Category 4 system was likely to take days, but despite a trail of demolished buildings, entire neighborhoods left in ruins and almost 900,000 homes and businesses without power, a sense of relief prevailed that Laura was not the annihilating menace forecasters had feared.

I'm sick of media hype!

Laura’s top wind speed of 150 mph put it among the strongest systems on record in the U.S. Not until 11 hours after landfall did Laura finally lose hurricane status as it plowed north and thrashed Arkansas. Following Laura’s passage, a massive plume of smoke visible for miles began rising from a chemical plant. Police said the leak was at a facility run by Biolab, which manufactures chemicals used in household cleaners such as Comet bleach scrub and chlorine powder for pools.

Nearby residents were told to close their doors and windows and turn off air conditioners, and the fire smoldered into the night. State and federal aircraft headed into the skies over the coast to look for signs of any other industrial damage. President Donald Trump planned to visit the Gulf Coast this weekend to tour the damage.

More than 580,000 coastal residents evacuated under the shadow of a coronavirus pandemic and calls for masks and social distancing to combat its spread. It was the largest evacuation order since the pandemic began and many people followed it, filling hotels and sleeping in cars. Although not everyone fled from the coast, officials credited those who did leave for minimizing the loss of life.

Laura was the seventh named storm to strike the U.S. this year, setting a new record for U.S. landfalls by the end of August......

Coincidence?

The same page found the New York Times pushing war against Russia and China (what else is new, right?).

"Secretary of State Mike Pompeo committed an “egregious violation” of the Hatch Act by delivering a video-taped speech from Israel to the Republican National Convention, according to a complaint filed by two law professors with the State Department's inspector general. Past secretaries of state have gone to lengths to avoid the appearance of partisan political activity, particularly during nominating conventions for the administrations they served. Pompeo's speech violated the 1939 law, which limits the commingling of political activity and government business, says the complaint, filed late Wednesday. During the speech, which was filmed during a diplomatic mission using Old Jerusalem as a backdrop, Pompeo praised President Donald Trump's foreign policy. He also celebrated the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, an issue of particular importance to white evangelicals who are a crucial voting block for Trump. “This video is an egregious violation of the Hatch Act,” wrote Claire O. Finkelstein and Richard W. Painter, the two law school professors....."

The Globe is playing that up and Democrats complaining as Trump appeals to his base.

They are the ones who train our cops, folks.

"An emergency curfew expired and downtown Minneapolis was calm Thursday morning after unrest broke out following what authorities said was misinformation about the suicide of a Black homicide suspect. Gov. Tim Walz mobilized the Minnesota National Guard at the request of Mayor Jacob Frey, who imposed the curfew after people broke windows and stole merchandise Wednesday night from stores on and near the Nicollet Mall, a pedestrian plaza that runs through downtown. People broke into a Target store and stole merchandise and set a popular British pub on fire. Other businesses were damaged, including some outside of downtown. Emotions have remained raw over the death of George Floyd, a handcuffed Black man who died after a white Minneapolis police officer pressed his knee against Floyd’s neck for nearly eight minutes on May 25. Floyd’s death sparked protests worldwide, including several nights of violence in Minneapolis. Demonstrators also gathered in Minneapolis this week to protest after Jacob Blake, a Black man, was shot multiple times by police in Wisconsin on Sunday, leaving him paralyzed. “This is part of a larger narrative. It was the flashpoint of George Floyd, it has spread across this nation. It does us no good to try and either divide or ignore or to make it worse or to blame someone,” Walz said. Police Chief Medaria Arradondo tried to dispel rumors that spread on social media about the death of the unidentified Black man, who was suspected in a Wednesday afternoon homicide and fatally shot himself on the Nicollet Mall as officers approached several hours later. His death, which was captured on city surveillance video and released by police within 90 minutes, nonetheless sparked protests and unrest in the heart of downtown. The video confirmed the police account of what happened and showed the man glancing over his shoulder before pulling out a gun and firing, then collapsing to the ground as a half-dozen witnesses ran away with their hands in the air. The officers, one of whom had his gun drawn, shooed a remaining witness away and kicked the suspect’s gun away before performing chest compressions....."

Unlike the Roots in Bo$ton, the video exonerates the police but any excuse to riot, right?

"Protests have been held in California's capital and in Los Angeles over the shooting of a Black Wisconsin man, and there were scattered reports of vandalism.  In Los Angeles, a group of protesters vandalized buildings with graffiti and clashed with police in a downtown tunnel. A KABC-TV news helicopter showed objects being hurled as officers struggled with individuals. KTTV-TV reported that 10 people were taken into custody. In Oakland, the police department tweeted that 600 to 700 people took part in protests where “numerous fires (were) set, dozens of windows broken, (and) multiple businesses vandalized.” Protesters threw objects at officers but none were injured, the department said. Several people were arrested. Calling them “violent protesters,” police said they vandalized and set a fire at the Alameda County Superior Court building. Police photos showed fireworks and burning trash cans....."

They were mostly peaceful, though.
