West Warns Pakistan

"Despite the public and political attention focused on the number of new troops, Pakistan has been the hot core of the months-long strategy review"

I think they got the hint.

"Nuclear authority shifted in Pakistan; Under pressure, president gives up command" by Kim Gamel, Associated Press | November 29, 2009

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan’s president has relinquished command of its nuclear arsenal to the prime minister, a political ally, and signaled that he was ready to shed more power as he faces growing pressure to resign.

The move came as an amnesty protecting President Asif Ali Zardari and thousands of others from graft charges expired yesterday, risking political turmoil that could distract the US-allied nation from its fight against the Taliban and other militants near the Afghan border....

So when is the false flag attack, MSM?

Zardari, 54, is languishing in opinion polls. He has long been haunted by corruption allegations, dating back to the governments of his late wife, Benazir Bhutto. He denies the allegations that he took kickbacks, saddling him with the nickname, “Mr. 10 Percent.’’

He also has found himself locked in a power struggle with the military, which has objected to his overtures toward rival nuclear neighbor India and acceptance of a multibillion dollar US-aid bill that came with conditions some fear impose controls over the army.

Yup, the ARMY is the BAD GUY now -- or are we just using them, readers?

Zardari’s office said the decision to transfer control of the National Command Authority to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani was a step toward ceding sweeping presidential powers that had been adopted by Zardari’s predecessor, former military leader General Pervez Musharraf....

I purposely spell it Musharaff as in RIFFRAFF!

When are the people of Pakistan going to be honored, huh?

Gilani is a veteran lawmaker and member of Zardari’s own party. He spent five years in prison under Musharraf’s regime, accused of cronyism and abusing his authority when serving as parliament speaker, despite a reputation for even-handedness in his treatment of opposing lawmakers. A higher court eventually overturned his conviction....

****************

In an interview Friday with Express News TV, Zardari said he also might give away authority he inherited from Musharraf to dissolve parliament and appoint services chiefs by the end of this year, as the opposition has long demanded. Doing that would weaken him politically and reduce the president to a more ceremonial role, but could reduce some of the pressures on him to step down....

Analysts said the transfer of authority signaled Zardari’s willingness to divest powers as part of a compromise that would enable him to keep his job. “It appears to be a self-defense and survival strategy,’’ said Rasool Bakhsh Rais, a political science professor at Lahore University of Management Science....

A spokesman for the opposition party headed by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif called on Zardari to resign despite his immunity....

A military coup to oust Zardari appears unlikely, as does impeachment, since he heads the largest party in parliament.... But the amnesty’s expiration and his dispute with the powerful military leave him vulnerable as he struggles to maintain his hold on the presidency at a time when Pakistan’s foreign allies would prefer political stability.

Think they will murder him like his wife?

Pakistan is embroiled in a bloody war on Islamist militants and has endured dozens of bombings this year that have left hundreds dead.

Oh, yeah, the NEVER-ENDING WAR!

What about that?

Interior Minister Rehman Malik said yesterday that 73 suspected militants, including 11 would-be suicide bombers and one suspected in the beheading of a Polish engineer, had been arrested in recent weeks. He alleged some of those interrogated had confessed to planning attacks on the presidency, Parliament, and the prime minister’s house.

Translation: they were tortured, so you can toss those "confessions" the government obtained.

And about that war:

"Anti-Taliban leader slain in Pakistan" by Associated Press | November 28, 2009

KHAR, Pakistan - A key anti-Taliban tribal leader was assassinated yesterday in a roadside bombing, the latest in a series of attacks against pro-government militias in the Afghan border area of northwestern Pakistan.

Elsewhere, authorities found the bullet-riddled body of another tribal elder who was seized from his home late Thursday in an attack that also left his son dead. Violence has increased in Bajur and other northwestern tribal regions since the army launched an offensive in South Waziristan in mid-October. Fifteen Taliban fighters were killed in operations over the past 24 hours in South Waziristan, a military statement said yesterday.

Fifteen more souls lost to lies -- whoever they were.

Pakistani troops took control of three important militant strongholds in the Bara area of Khyber tribal region, killing another 15 insurgents.

Figures are a little round, ain't they?

Not like a government would ever shovel shit to the public, right?

The famed Khyber region is the main route for ferrying supplies to US and NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Thus VERY IMPORTANT for Pakistan's government to guarantee for us.

It has been the focus of several counterinsurgency operations but militants often resurface with fresh attacks. Pakistan’s government has supplemented its military efforts by helping tribal leaders and local militias battle the Taliban.

Yeah, I'm sure everything is going splendidly.

"Obama offers Pakistan additional support" by Washington Post | November 30, 2009

WASHINGTON - President Obama has offered Pakistan an expanded strategic partnership, including additional military and economic cooperation, while warning with unusual bluntness that its use of insurgent groups to pursue policy goals “cannot continue.’’

Yeah, ONLY the U.S. is allowed to do that!!!!

The offer, including an effort to help reduce tensions between Pakistan and India, was contained in a two-page letter delivered to President Asif Ali Zardari this month by national security adviser James Jones.

Related:

"The Obama administration has been pressing Pakistan to move more aggressively against the Taliban forces, a message that national security adviser James Jones was reported to have carried to Pakistani officials during a visit last week. In particular, US officials have urged the army to move into neighboring North Waziristan.... Pakistani officials immediately bristled at the suggestion"

More deception and obfuscation from the AmeriKan MSM!

It was accompanied by assurances from Jones that the United States will increase its military and civilian efforts in Afghanistan, and plans no early withdrawal.

Related:

"Pakistan expressed fear yesterday that a large increase in foreign troops in Afghanistan could push militants across the border into its territory and called on the United States to factor in that concern"

I GET TIRED of the BULLSHIT LIES from my MSM, let me tell you!!!

Obama’s speech tomorrow night at West Point, N.Y., will address primarily the Afghanistan aspects of the strategy. But despite the public and political attention focused on the number of new troops, Pakistan has been the hot core of the months-long strategy review.

Yes, dear Americans, this is about EXPANDING the Project For the New American Century -- you know, what was supposed to be the Bush gang's plan.

Thought you "voted" to "change" that, didn't you?

“We can’t succeed without Pakistan,’’ said a senior administration official involved in the White House review, who spoke on condition of anonymity. “You have to differentiate between public statements and reality. There is nobody who is under any illusions about this.’’

That is why NEWSPAPERS SUCK!!!!!!

They are NOT REPORTING REALITY!!!!!!

Proffered US incentives, which were outlined during Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s October visit to Islamabad, center on a far more comprehensive and long-term bilateral relationship.

Hillary Clinton Drones On and On

What an embarrassment that b*** is.

She's worse than Rice, and truly the de facto president.

She's running foreign policy, not Obama.

It would involve enhanced development and trade assistance; improved intelligence collaboration and a more secure military equipment pipeline; more public praise and less public criticism of Pakistan; and an initiative to build greater regional cooperation among Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan.

Why not LEAVE instead because WE HAVE HAD IT!

Obama called for closer collaboration against all extremist groups, and his letter named five: Al Qaeda, the Afghan Taliban, the Haqqani network, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and the Pakistani Taliban organization known as Tehrik-e-Taliban.

Well, the TTP is a CIA FRONT, so....

Militants' possession of Israeli arms raises questions

Use of Israeli-made light arms by militants against security forces in Waziristan has raised several questions amongst many recently. TheNation has learnt on good authority that militants are using Israeli-made light arms including “Uzi gun” and “Rapid-fire pistol” against security forces in North Waziristan as the operation Rah-I-Rast reached its final stage. In addition to Israel-made sophisticated arms, militants are making use of the latest version of US-made M-16 carbine with laser designator and binoculars, Bulgarian and Czechoslovakia made Kalakov and M-4 carbine with a grenade launcher and laser designator, which is a unique weapon with the US marines."

Who is arming those "militants" again?

Yeah, ARM and CREATE the "enemy!"

GREAT WAY to KEEP PROFIT-MAKING and AGENDA-ADVANCING WARS GOING!

Btw, did you know that Al Qaeda doesn't even exist?

That there is no Al Qaeda?

"Hunt harder for Al Qaeda, Britain urges Pakistan" by Associated Press | November 30, 2009

LONDON - Prime Minister Gordon Brown urged Pakistan yesterday to intensify its hunt for Osama bin Laden and other Al Qaeda leaders.

PFFFFFTT!!!

Here, Gordo, why don't you take a look:

Brown told the BBC that he had hoped to see more progress in the search for bin Laden and his second-in-command, Ayman al-Zawahiri. Brown also said the world should refocus on the threat posed by the terrorist group.

So I guess London will be deploying Mr. Aswat or Mr. Khan soon, 'eh, readers?

Yeah, diverts attention from that, too, doesn't it, Gordo?

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has also criticized Pakistani officials for failing to press the hunt for Al Qaeda.

Yeah, yeah, we heard her insulting ass above.

Brown said that as international forces are making efforts in Afghanistan, Pakistan must take action on its side of the border.

Meanwhile, look at what other garbage is inserted into this piece:

A new Senate report released last week found that bin Laden was within reach of US troops in December 2001, when he and his bodyguards walked out of Afghanistan’s Tora Bora mountains and into Pakistan’s tribal area.

???? WTF, MSM? Where ya' been?

The report asserted that the failure to kill or capture bin Laden at his most vulnerable in December 2001 has had lasting consequences beyond the fate of one man. Bin Laden’s escape laid the foundation for today’s reinvigorated Afghan insurgency and inflamed the internal strife now endangering Pakistan, it said. Staff members for the Senate Foreign Relations Committee’s Democratic majority prepared the report at the request of the chairman, Senator John F. Kerry, as President Obama prepares to boost US troops in Afghanistan....

Oh, so it was an AGENDA-PUSHING and VALIDATING exercise from Kerry, huh?

What a s*** senator!!!

More pointedly, it seeks to affix a measure of blame for the state of the war today on military leaders under former president George W. Bush, specifically Donald H. Rumsfeld as defense secretary and his top military commander, Tommy Franks....

Oh, so it is a POLITICAL, COVER-OUR-ASS, BLAME-the-LAST GUY crap, huh?

Let's move OUTSIDE the AmeriKan MSM for a moment or two, 'eh, readers?

"Pakistan Is Not Responsible For US-UK’s Woes

Boils my blood to see the British Prime minister Gordon Brown, demanding of Pakistan to hunt Osama and presumably had him over to America or Britain. These western countries, first of all, should hang their heads in shame for their complete failure in Afghanistan.

By Saeed Qureshi

Monday, 30 November 2009.

LONDON, U.K.—Pakistan is not responsible for the compounding woes of the powerful, affluent west. If NATO is bogged down in Afghanistan, it’s not because of Pakistan. They entered Afghanistan on their own volition and now staying there not at Pakistan’s behest. West’s military adventure in Afghanistan was a grievous blunder and its continuation is sheer madness....

America’s decision to send additional troops in Afghanistan would predictably backfire. The NATO is already fighting a lost war. Karzai and his rag tag army do not have the potential or the prowess to withstand the ferocious forays of the militants. Even with a million troops the tide cannot be turned in favor of the occupation army. The West cannot throw an nuclear bomb on Afghanistan as was done on two cities of Japan, during the Second World War, because the loss would be collateral. The atomic disaster cannot be contained to Afghanistan only. Moreover, it would be a sheer lunacy to destroy the other countries because of the presence of bands of hostile miscreants.

The efforts and strategy of the main stakeholder America should be directed towards getting out of Afghanistan as soon as possible. This wild goose chase type of war is entailing heavy monetary and human losses for America and her allies....

[Expect to see more stories like these in the coming days, as the Army and ISI facilitate America's "under the radar" invasion of their country. We are seeing the final act of a US/Pakistani psycho-drama, staged to ease the people into accepting Bush/Musharraf's war, something that would have been unthinkable in the two previous attempts to wage war against the Pashtun people] -- There Are No Sunglasses

".... Pakistan, the great prize in the current phase of the Imperial war project, is being pried open like ripened fruit, to facilitate advancing American forces. The great irony here, is that this is being done for America by Pakistanis. The “Islamists” who are turning the Central Asian states into the next battlegrounds have all received their basic training in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Now these black crows have returned home to roost, as they ply their evil trade in the North West Frontier Province and FATA. Safely entrenched there, despite recent pseudo-offensives allegedly launched against them by the Army, the militants perform a carefully choreographed dance with their former trainers, the ISI and the Army. Their dance creates the illusion of tribal war, projecting the image of the Army as the great defenders of the “Land of the Pure,” validating further Army escalations, which, in themselves, will justify the next phase of the American occupation....
